    hello sapna,
    Thanx for the encouraging words.By oil painting did you mean the oil painting on glass or that on canvass.But then you r an expert on glass painting ,so let me tell you about oil painting on canvas.
    canvas is easily available in all the craft shops in India.You get many varieties but can start of with the oil painting paper sheets.i first used the artist oil colours from camlin.choose brushes of you convenience.i mostly use flat brushes and zero brushes for fine details.he best medium to choose is linseed oil.you can also directly paint from the tube without using the medium.
    U can either draw free hand or copy designs.figures are tougher to paint as one line can destroy the expression on the face.i dont follow any hard and fast rules for painting.i first fill the face with a lighter skin tones then proceed to shade with darker tone.then comes the facial features like eyes nose etc.
    After painting you have to wait for atleast 6 weeks for the painting to dry up completely, bfore framing.See to it that the the painting does not touch the glass of the frame.
