    I totally agree with you that consistency is a big virtue in personal life, I mean as far as things like morning coffee, The Hindu, morning debts(kaalai kadangal) etc. But we are discussing about consistency as a tool for survival. Let us not mix up these two!
    As regards, 'Patti Manrams' people like Prof.Solomon Bapiah are so consistently 'vazha vazha kozha kozha'(slippery) that no definitive conclusion is arrived at!
    But as you say, a patti manran on consistency being a virtue or vice has immense possibilities!
    Procrastination is now being recognised as a powerful tool. Keeping them waiting is a good strategy because it wears out the opponents as politicians would vouch for!
    Rama-Ravana Yudham is not relevant any more to our times. That's why, Kurukshetra is more widely quoted in corporate and political battles!

    Though you advocate inconsistency,you are always consistent in giving us a great threads..and have a consistent inflow of fb's that make reading them a pleasure consistently...

    What is consistent in life, is actually change....everything else has a slight deviation...not by design..but by nature...

    consistency helps shaping life..for example when a child feels safe, secure and loved, it will learn to explore life, take chances, makes mistakes..which in turn....to help in the test of survival of the fittest...but when it starts defining your life...is when it makes us sitting ducks....

    It is a power in our hands which can be used both as always...that is consistency of power.....

    When you are dieting, or on a fitness regime, consistency is the mantra or you fail...

    Agreed, in corporate warfare, keep them guessing wins..but again the employee will gain only if he is consistent in his performance...

    Let us take the case of movies, quality should be consistent but not the storylines, or acting....may be that is the reason for lot of movies going down the drain.....

    On a personal note, replying to your thread consistently makes me rack my brains consistently....

    who said consistency is boring...consistency on certain planes is never boring....:queen

    I was just wondering about the word 'destiny' Wont 'destination' be more appropriate? Sailors have always used the Pole Star as their guiding light to reach their destination. But I guess that the words 'destiny' and 'destination' metephorically mean the same.
