    Dear Chithra
You have raised a very valid point there. I remember the days when the tourists from Andhra with tonsured heads used to visit Chennai for sightseeing. Their first destination would be NTR's house in T.Nagar! I have seen with my own eyes people burning camphor in front of his house and prostrate before him! That was the effect of his donning the role of Krishna in a number of movies!
NTR has made us believe that God has to be like him, tall, well-built and handsome attired in silk clothes and bejewelled like a mobile jewellery shop! That's why we miss seeing Him if He visits us as a normal human being! I remember the movie 'Oh God!' released in 1977 in which God appears in person to a Manager in a supermarket who He choses as His messenger to respread His message. The movie portrays George Burns, a non-descript ,simple looking old man, as God! The movie is full of rollicking scenes and thought provoking dialogues. If God appeared to us not as NTR but as George Burns, we are sure to miss Him!

    Dear Cheeniya Sir
This topic now reminds of Evan Almighty and Bruce Almighty movies.. a big fan of Morgan Freeman became bigger fan after he acted as GOD..(need to see bucket list side topic sorry)
When I was young I saw a thengai Srinivasan movie dont remember name..where he interacts with God..that was what first made me start to think of God as nonform..
Again going to go side topic..in that movie the actor will talk to "GOD" while driving a car..I think GOD drove the car but others cannot see God so they just see a car being driven by None. Shortly after that I happened to see a foreign car where the driver sat on the other side ..being young I really believed that car was being driven by God and stood gaping right there in the street till my aunt explained everything..
looks like I have rambled too long:queen
Wishing you and yours A Very Healthy Happy and Prosperous New Year

    Dear AC
I think that the movie you are referring to is Kaliyuga Kannan. It was meant to be a comedy but there were a lot of thought provoking scenes in that movie. God, in order not to make His presence too obvious, has to visit us dressed in the same way the world attires itself at that point of time. If we hold on to His image of the previous Yugas and miss seeing Him in a denim and a cotton shirt, we have only ourselves to blame!
May God, in whatever form He is, grant you all that you desire and keep you and yours happy and contented all the time!
    Sri

    Dear Cheeniya Sir
I came back to mention something I forgot to mention earlier..good thing I came..because I saw yours and Chithra's posts and trust me you both have made my day or should i say year?? You both dont know how grateful and indebted I feel..

I forgot to mention in my earlier reply in that movie itself.. The main character Srinivasan would call out to God and God would appear in front of him. But towards the end after he realises God and accepts the reality God never appeared after he called..so in sadness he would sing a song in which the words.."when he is inside me now how can he appear outside?.." still remember that distinctly..

The final point being search inside and not outside.

    Thank You both once again.

    Dear AC,
The following quote from you (in blue letters) implies, you have become an arednt student of the Gita !
    You remember my statement
Do not say, I am happy. Learn to say, I am happiness.
    You have reached that stage.
Kudos to you, my young friend ! You are leaping forward in giant steps !!

    Dear AC
'Irukkum idathai vittu illatha idam nokki' going is the basic trait of a human being. Most of us keep looking for something, that exists within ourselves, all over the world and feel disappointed when we dont find it!
Most of the atheists are more obssessed with His existence than the believers! Scott Fitzgerald sums it up nicely when he says,"The easiest way to get a reputation is to go outside the fold, shout around for a few years as a violent atheist or a dangerous radical, and then crawl back to the shelter"
