How can I get notified when someone responds to a thread of my interest?

    If you subscribe to a thread, then the system will automatically notify you by an email whenever someone responds to that thread.

    You can subscribe to a thread by doing the following:
    • Go to the thread you wish to subscribe.
    • At the menu bar on the top of the thread you will see “Thread Tools”.
    • Click on “Thread Tools” and you will see “Subscribe to this Thread” in the drop down menu.
    • Click on “Subscribe to this Thread”
    • Choose your “Notification Type” and click “Add subscription”

    Hi,
    What will happen when you select the subscription type is "control panel" for thread response notification? I have selected that but there is no pop up appearing?

    Hello Mrudhani,

    If you set the subscription type as 'Control Panel', you will not receive any email notification. Whenever you login IL, you can view the subscribed threads in your user control panel.

    I hv 2 questions :

    1) I have already subscribed and selected notification type as " to control panel". Can i change it now? if yes, then pl explain the procedure.
    2) Is it possible to get notified by email only when someone replies to me instead of getting updated on all the msgs in a thread?

    Yes, you can change the notification type easily. Please follow the steps given in the first post of this thread. And if you set the thread subscription to 'Email Notification', you will be notified whenever someone replies in the thread.

    Even though i hv subscribed to the thread with " instant notification by email", i am not getting messages on email neither is it there in spam. What could be the reason?
