The festival mood in the air:

We plan a wonderful evening that is to be, welcoming the New Year among great friends of many years, setting the mood in high mode and the spirit raised.

Dresses chosen, venue taken care of, choicest bites arranged, mostly it is fried stuff, as it is winter and what more than some hot crispy fried stuff, with different drinks.

The mood is high with adrenalin, meeting the person you look forward to, making the best of your behavior, impressive addressing and being the centre of attraction, all these lead to more and more excitement.

Yeah! There are some among us, who cannot enjoy as they miss their loved ones but no harm drinking in their name right, so in corners and away from the light you find souls sitting all sad and disinterested looking away into some gap somewhere in the sky.

Back to the party, the young children also enjoy the eats and drinks available to them, so many different varieties of food mm delicious and cakes and ice-cream.

Whatever may be the tiffs we have some couple smiling for the crowd with a tight expression of looking good and feeling great, but slyly looking at each other and giving the glare of wait until dark kind, then we have the grandma’s interested to meet the children with their fiancée or their boyfriend and ask out of turn questions embarrassing the lot, these are not formalities but unavoidable ties, that we live with, the care free are always giving excuses and the responsible are always tied up.

The servants doing the rounds of serving drinks and eats are all eyes for the people gossiping in the kitchen about the way they speak or the way they are dressed that in itself is a scene that could be well written as a separate blog, the drivers have their share of discussing the saab and memsaab.

Now coming to the ailing lot who are unable to join anywhere do it with vengeance, they do curse their inability or sometime make the most by enjoying what is being sent to them.

Old and young, poor and rich, all join in the festive mood making the most, dancing away into the new year on the road, hugging bike riders, and kissing them without warning, now these are the local scenes of Bangalore, so the riders beware, the sober ones take the less congested lanes and the road dancers please be aware of the festive drivers who could give you a one way ticket on this day.

Lets not forget the symptoms of uneasiness, not ignore as some gas problem, or indigestion it is better to be aware of the chest situation, take help not putting it off to the next year and never find the doc in time at all… happy NEW YEAR FRIENDS enjoy with more responsibility. sunkan
