    Cheeniyasir and Nivedi,

Both of you have unleashed demons in my heart ---- Sinner as I am, I am plagued with guilt now after reading Nivedi's 'husband- feeding' habits.

This Diwali, I made a lot of sweets, we got a lot of sweets from friends. Husband has a cute lil sweet tooth. So to deter him from eating those, I put all the sweets in the deep freezer. They froze rock hard and everytime he asked for a sweet, I used that as an excuse. As for me, I would systematically put out a piece in the morning and devour it after lunch when he is away at work.

This is lying, gluttony, greed, guilt----- sins galore.

Cheeniya, if you are enjoying the confessions that your post is wrenching from all of us, that is a big sin too.

    regards
    Vidya

    Dear Nivedi,

I read all about your sins! It was one of the frank and humor filled post that I have read in the recent times and at once you have endeared yourself to me:)) Now, isn't that the Kali kalam effect??! You sin and talk about it and I luv you for that?...Ha ha ha...

Me too, scratching my head to admit to all the sins that I commit on daily basis...My ego clouded brain does not seem to recognize any of them !!

One very naughty sin I knowingly indulge is lying to my husband...About what ..you may all question....
I am a Hindi film buff and keep watching whatever 'brainkills' that they may throw my way on the two dish TV channels we have. My husband cannot be running away from the TV all the time, can he? But he has this habit of constantly asking me for the actors' names...who is he or who is she...I must have pointed out Karisma, Hema , Shahrukh or whoever a hundred times. Now, do you think he cannot recognize faces or has a memory loss?!? So, for some time now..my answer comes promptly...Karisma on screen...I say it is Aishwarya...Shahrukh on screen...he is Amitabh! He questions less now:evil: !!!

    L, Kamla

Sorry Cheens...I am robbing your space and hijacking the thread!

    Dear AC Kozhi,
Inspite of your trying to "sindu mudinjify"
    adhu enna Sir line puriyavillaiye..
"not like in some forums where the post is praised for the sake of the person who posts it
    "..

    Sri has "innocently" mentioned
She did not say sub forum

So a "slip-in-spelling" came to my rescue this time ! Your effort has been a waste !:banana
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Hi Sri,

Again a very good posts. I used to get irritated the moment FIL reads the obituary column and say "Ayyo yennoda visa eppa varum...and start yeppo varuvaro...." now, I understand it is a universal fallacy??. I understood and appreciated the reason for your reading that column.

I for one stay away from that column...as a person who has seen him knocking at my door frequently...I don't need any other example, proof about mortality.

Coming to the sins, first of all I would like you to define sins...what you have listed do they come in the list of sins of the 21st century???. ....I feel even gods would have updated the list by now, and I am saying this with confidence.

So what can i call sins no let me put it as mistakes (which if given a chance would like to rectify.......)

    1. wanting to/ hitting bald persons on their head...now i definitely regret seeing veda.....
    2. As I mentioned, would like to go back and have a better meeting with MSS, satya sai baba and also ganapathi sachidananda (who was the son of a person who used to come to meet dad when we were in AP)
    3. For throwing away all those medicines I was given by my doctors..when i was a kid.......(i used to justify, that they were making me guinea pigs for whatever medicines was released...)
4.For always being a silent observer when in school..(needing money to open my mouth)..ofcourse now you need to give me money to stop...
5.Being inconsiderate and celebrating my state rank, when my room mate failed.
6.now just using the excuse that veda is not here to slip away from family functions.....
7.I feel bad for shouting at MIL when she used to not listen about eating sweets...(she was diabetic... and I was given a name hawk....though everybody says she could be kept under control only by me..i still feel bad..)
    8. Neglecting my health is the worst mistake i have done....which is taking its toll on me as days go.....

my list goes...looks more like a regret list rather than sins.....let me stop....

    Dear Vidya
With all of you, sinners, milling around this small place, I feel lost! My sins have lost their pre-eminent position to the mindboggling sins being committed by you all like a candle on a mid summer mid day!
It's appalling that I cant even be the leader in this field!

    Dear Vidya
Of the seven cardinal sins, you strike four with a single act and I should say it's a bagfull! It's not just sinning but cruelty of the highest order. Freezing a stuff is not supposed to be backed by any sinister motive. Defreezing it with sinister motive is a greater sin! And talking about it gleefully in a public forum is the greatest sin of all.
I note that you say 'devour' it after lunch. That brings out a streak of animal in you.

Et tu Kamla? You have not only committed the sin of lying but delberately misled an innocent man. If Karisma herself gone around as Aishwarya, it would have amounted to impersonation but making her commit impersonation in the eyes of your husband is a great sin. Shutting out an otherwise garrulous man by confusing him tantamounts to all the cardinal sins combined as one!
My God, what have I let myself in for! God knows what more sinister confessions are in the offing!

    Dear Shanthi
Gods updating the list of sins is an interesting thought. Better still would be if they revised the list in synchrony with the demand for sinning from time to time! Sin is a mistake that can not be rectified even if given a chance. So what can you do if you celebrated your state rank when your room mate had failed at this point of time except ruing over it? So it has to be classified as sin!
But the worst sin that you committed according to me is the neglect of your health. I am sure you have a chance to rectify it even now. If so, do it without delay and get that sin reclassified as a mistake!
God bless you with a long and healthy life, Shan
    Sri
