hi all, With the new year coming near...we all take lot of resolutions...I was thinking about forgiving...how difficult could it be....here i have tried to pen my thoughts........... To err is human, to forgive is divine. have you learn t the art, then start with yourself. forgive yourself, forgiving others comes easy. It should start as a conscious effort that starts in your head, lead by your heart in a planned way so that you don't back away think of the things, that hurt and caused anger and kept you locked in the darkness realise and analyse and let go or the darkness and pain does not allow you to grow. to forgive is not forget, you cannot forget the hurt because what was done is not correct.. forgiving does not change what happened Or does not erase what happened Or make it right what was not right before the years are passing too fast, life is also too short when you forgive, you make room for hope and love to grow again... life is happier to the one who forgives than the one who is forgiven.....
Hello Shanthi Wow nice poem. on Forgiveness. The words are so perfect. 1st we have to forgive ourself and only then we can forgive others, that is so true. It is sometimes so difficult to forgive and forget the incident that has taken place. Once hurt, that is always there in your heart which is very difficult to forget. But life is short if we will stick to that we are the one who is sad, so it is good to forgive and proceed further. Very nice workings Shanthi. Heard you were not well. what had happened?? I hope you are fine now. Takecare dear.
Dear shanvy, Those were lovely words and beautiful thoughts. You have chosen a very good topic .....to forgive. It is not an easy thing to do if one has been hurt as you say,but your poem sends out a very encoraging and positive message that forgiving will enrich us further and we can be content that we have done the right thing. As the curtain comes down on 2007 ,we can all add forgiving to the list of our New Year resolutions for sure! Thanks for the lovely poem. PAULINA
hi Aruna, Yeah was not well and I am still on treatment. I was thinking about this for quite some time. and thanks for being there to give me your comments.
Thanks paulina, I have been thinking a lot about forgetting and forgiving..both are difficult but the moment we forget our stupid pride and take the first step towards it, it becomes easier.
Dear Shanvy A very great thought penned up with ease!! Ofcourse its true that we can feel a sense of peace within ourselves if we learn to forgive. Forgiving itself is an art and requires courage to shower it upon others. At this point of time, i remember 'The Merchant Of Venice' by William Shakespeare wherein he says the one who sends the quality of mercy is blessed more than the one who receives it. U made us to ponder about what concerns the most in life.. forgiving and leading a serene life or carrying on a heavy life with all the grudges..A good work ma'am..Keep going! Love Meena
Hi Meena, Really happy to know i have made you ponder on the topic. Lot of problems can be easily solved if we learn to forget and forgive. Thanks for your wishes.......
