    Dear Kamalji
Groucho Marx once said 'I don't want to belong to any club that would accept me as one of its members'! Similarly, I am hardly thrilled by women who swoon over me and I doubt their taste!

    Cheeniya Sir,

I too had the habit of looking at the obituary column of The Hindu. But for different sinful reasons. I hated school and college from the day I joined till the day I left. So you can imagine the numerous sins I committed in trying to stay at home. Coming back to the obituary column, the reason I would pour over it was to see if some one from the school or college's governing board passed away and the day would be a holiday. Now, that is sinful, is'nt it? There were days when I would think there are so many tottering politicians and not one is kicking the bucket - all for a holiday.

I have forged my mothers signature on my report card too. I have purposely stood near the drum stick tree just before the school bus comes so that those wiggly wolly worms would shed their hair on me and I would sit itching for sometime and refuse to got to school. To top it all we had to maintain a Good Deeds book where we had to write about a good deed that we did. On most days this book of mine would be empty, so to escape from the teacher's wrath, I would copy from someone else's Good Deed book!

A notable sin that I commit these days are pretending to have a temporary memory lapse. When my husband leaves for work, he instructs me to post some bills or follow-up on some complaint with the apartments leasing office. All day I browse over the internet and I keep putting off these chores till the end of the day. And when it is time to face my husband, I tell him conveniently that I forgot. The poor man has had to pay penalties for late bill payment. I give lectures about cholesterol and diet and make my husband eat taste-less food. But I silently eat the sinful tasty stuff when he is not around. That's sinful, is'nt it?

    Dear Nivedi,
I thoroughly enjoyed your post to Sri !
You have made me feel, that I can send my list of enjoyable, rather, harmless sins to Sri by PM.
You are giving me ideas, my young friend !

    Dear Sri,
You have proved that men are good only in their "fields" whereas women are "alrounders", by your statement
While on the subject of iddly, I guess everything grindable into a thick paste can be made as iddlies. Please correct me if I am wrong.
No wonder , having got used to consuming thick pasty, rather "gummy" idlis, you cannot marvel at how ladies can appreciate my oats idli. I have got 2 consecutive raving FBs within 24 hours of posting. The proof of the pudding is in eating, my dear friend !

And let me tell you, in my sub-forum, ladies give the right comments - not like in some forums where the post is praised for the sake of the person who posts it ! I am not giving any hints, please. This is just a general statement.
What modesty! Unbelievable is the following statement from you
, I am hardly thrilled by women who swoon over me and I doubt their taste!
You now know, why I don't swoon over you?
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Nivedi,

I also feed my husband all kinds of bland, raw stuff in the name of healthful eating. I make him exercise, pump weights and sleep at 9pm. Me, I eat everything sinfully loaded with salt, sugar and oil. Exercise is touching my toes sitting on the couch and I watch late night movies often. So, you are in exalted sinner company.

    Dear Nivedi
I see that you are as heavy a sinner as I am! I am speechless!
The worst of yours was copying from someone else's good deed book. I have no idea about the punishment prescribed for such heinous sin. Must refer to the Old Testament.
Eating sinful stuff is not a sin at all but denying it to others is a grave sin.
It's high time you feel penitent about these sins!

    Dear Chithra
I see that I have treaded into an area about which you appear to be hypersensitive. If I tell Nalan that his cooking is not upto the mark, he is bound to get furious too! I have nothing against oats iddly or their makers. In fact, I have the highest regard for oats as a cholesterol buster but my conscience does not permit me to accept it as a raw material for iddly. The oats iddly promoters have set in motion the destruction of the time honoured iddly which used to be the staple diet of several generations. It is sacrilege that a cereal that was exclusively meant for horses is now being sought to be projected as a raw material for iddly. My heart bleeds!

Coming to your 'And let me tell you, in my sub-forum, ladies give the right comments - not like in some forums where the post is praised for the sake of the person who posts it !' , what is the need for an uncrowned queen of this site to have to say this? Who can ever come near you in drawing admiration?
    Sri
