    hi,
    I too want to reduce my weight.Since am feeding my baby(9 months) i thought to start my weight reducing plan once i stop feeding.
    But seriously i want to reduce my weight.
    As am working i cant spend time to do exercise.Please suggest me so that i can change my habits and spend some time for exercise.

    Height: 5'7" inches
    My weight:86kg
    expected :60kg
    weight to loss:26kg
    age:27

    If anybody interested to join me, i will be happy....

    Dear Madnabati,
    acidity have banana and also to a glass had soda water 3/4 full then to the 1/4 glass add milk to it mix and drink, do it everyday your acidity will go away.
    have afruit in the morning and eatwell so your stomach is not empty.

    Wow!! I just came across this thread in IL and am elated. I am also sailing in same obese boat :).... wanna reduce at least 30 Kgs

    Age : 28
    Wt :90
    Ht : 5.6 - 165cms
    Goal wt : 60

    I have to confess that i crave for food a lot but most of the time i make up my mind not to touch oily/sweet food. Sometime it gets too difficult when u see others enjoying these. but got to give the body what it needs :)...
    Here we go on a serious diet plan.

    Today's diet (Just started today, after seeing all your updates :)) ) I got this diet plan from a dietitian in India. It worked when i followed before marriage and lost about 12 kgs in 6 months. Things change after marriage.. Alas!!

    Overview
    ---------
    drink up to 4 ltr of water daily
    drink 1 cup of warm water 1 hour after every meal, if possible with some lime juice.
    Avoid sugar to max 2 Tsp a day
    Avoid Oil/fat as much as possible. restrict to 1 Tsp a day
    Avoid bananas, mango and high sugary fruits as much as possible
    Avoid anything prepared with maida like bread or naan
    Avoid coconut, peanuts, cashew nuts etc

    1. 1 L of water in empty stomach

    2. went on a brisk walk for an hour. covered 2 Miles

    3. Honey and lukewarm water with a Tbsp of lemon juice
    1 Hr break

    4. coffee with no suger (Milk that we get in US is always too thick. i added 1/2 quantity of water to 1Pc milk)

    5. Breakfast : 1/4 cup of oats boiled in water with salt and pepper
    can try salad with spinach, carrots, cucumber, sprouts etc
    2 nos of idly or oil free dosa (avoid bread and cereal) with sambar (not chutney

    6.Warm Water + Lemon Juice

    7.Non Acidic fruits - cantaloupe, watermelon, Apple, Guava

    8.Lunch - 2 chapati + 1/2 cup boiled rice+ any curry which is rich in protein(grams/pulses)+buttermilk (1/2 cup) + salad - cucumber, raw carrot, raddish, tomato (5/6 slices in total)
    Once can go for ragi ball or cracked wheat upma for lunch instead of chapati for variety

    9.Drink warm water after an hour

    10. Snacks + sugarless tea

    11.Dinner by 7 - body needs at least 3 hours of gap before giving it a rest,finish up your dinner by 7 so you can go to bed by 10.

    12. Have very less quantity here (just like breakfast)

    So the calorie plan would be
    250 for breakfast
    400 for lunch
    300 for dinner
    300 for snacks
    This is ideal 1250 cal diet to reduce weight

    Please give your updates and feedback for the plan as well. Please correct me if i am wrong anywhere.

    I would be interesting to see what people eat. So kindly post a pic of your meal and that would inspire others. i will post the pic of dinner tonight.

    To make this serious issue more interesting, lets start a game. Let us all fix the goal weight in mind and set the pre-goal weight, as suggested earlier, of 5kgs. Let us see who can reduce the weight at the earliest.

    Max number of days is 60, starting today(20 sep 2011/ or we can fix the date when you guys join). 5 kgs in 2 months is achievable.

    if you achieve before 2 months
    60 - number of days it took to lose 5 kg = the point you gained.

    who ever gains the max point is the winner.The winner will receive a gift from other participants.

    I am a silent reader of this forum. I also want to reduce my weight. I started weight reducing schedule from this month (September). Initially i didnt check my weight, but started doing Cardio exercise(Step climbing) for 30 mins
    and doing Yoga for 45 mins and dieting also...

    Height:- 5.2
    Weight:- 70 kg
    Ideal Weight - 50-54kg
    Need to loose:- 20 kg

    I have started my dieting and exercise..but i am joining this forum lately. Daily i am plaaning to update my exercise and diet here so that i can track my plan and weight. It motivates me and hope the newjoiners also..I will update my diet in the evening...

    I read in net that banana helps to break fats... So I am taking daily a banana..Will it help to reduce weight or not? Pls give me ur suggestion.
