Borrowing a Car Eh !

A friend of mine, was passing by, he came yesterday evening, for a cup of tea and a chat. He drops in once or twice a month, and we have many a wonderful chats, over cups of tea and some biscuits.


Yesterday he was a little perturbed, and this is wht he said. A friend of his, his son is getting married. The friend called him up, to borrow his car for a few hours, for he had to go venue searching, and he gave in. The car came back after 4 days, with the petrol all finished, car dirty, and he was just furious but could not say anything.


Well, I told him, buddy, here is what happened to me, and how I dealt with it. Someone known to me, once borrowed my car, and took it to his village a few hundred kms away, and returned the car to me in a bad way, and I was pissed off.


The next time he came to borrow, I had prepared my excuse , and I told him, u can take the car, no problems, just be careful the brakes are giving me problems, sometimes they don’t work, and the other day, I was almost involved in a major accident, as the brakes gave way. So I was thinking of taking the car to the workshop, but I am busy with orders, but if u want take it, just be careful, they do work, but u know sometimes, god knows what happens to the brakes !!!


That put the fear of God in him. He did not take it, and has never asked me again, maybe moved on to others, who keep their cars in good condition, and ready to lend !!!


I did not offend him, but lied to save my car and my skin, and my petrol, and my peace of mind .HAHA. Saap bhi mar gaya, aur lathi bhi na tooti eh !


Now coming back to this friend of mine. His parents , wife and kids have gone outstation, and he could not go due to his work. Now he has in all 4 cars, one for himself, his wife, Dad, and one the driver takes for office work to pick up goods here and there.


So 3 cars are standing idle, and all his neighbours are eyeing his cars. So the other day, his neighbour asked for his car, for some people were coming, with luggage, and he wanted this fellow’s Van ! He had to give it in, and he was telling me his tale of woe.


Then I told him a solution, I said , bring all yr cars and park them in my house, I have plenty of parking, and I have a driver, he will run the engine everyday, and clean it everyday, u give him a tip of a hundred or so , for a week, till yr family comes, and when the neighbors see yr cars are not there, they will not ask u, thinking the family has taken them, or u tell them they are in the workshop, undergoing long pending repairs !


He was so happy, today morning he came and parked his cars here, and I sent my driver with him to bring the cars quickly, and he is very relieved man, andi told him anytime , u are free to park your new cars here, it will be good for u, and good for me, the neighbors will think kamal has bought cars , good for my reputation.


That is killing two birds with one stone eh !


But that set me thinking. Some people are allowed 4 wives officially, our He man has Two eh ! Now suppose let us take this example. A corny one no doubt, but I want to put my point across.


Say A has 4 wives, and his friend B has one. Now B’s wife has gone to her parents house for a while, and B is lonely u see. Do u think B would or should ?


People don’t understand, if one has many cars, or whatever, , it is for their own personal use, and pleasure, not to lend it out to others !!! What do u tell the borrowers, are there no taxis available in town ?


For my daughter’s wedding, I like others, fell short of cars for guests, and I hired taxis, I never asked my friends , for when u can get milk in the market, why borrow the buffalo ?


And now we have a few call a cabs, all ac ones, and not bad at all. They charge 12 bucks a km, the first km costs 25 bucks , the rest 12 bucks, and they come in half an hour on normal days. Much better than Mumbai, Ac Cabs, logs of luggage space and much cheaper than autos. Why not use them eh !


So dear friends, if u ever run into these sticky situations in the near future, I am just a note away, or a call away, for some free advise.

In films, u get married after a lot of difficulty
In real life, u face a lot of difficulties after u get married !!!




Teacher to student – How many brothers and sisters u are ?
Student – Man we are 12 brothers and 12 sisters !
Maam – What does yr father do ? ( she wanted to ask wht business he does )
Student – I don’t know wht he does, we all sleep early !!!

thanks for the first FB, and a great one at that. Yes what is wrong in saving one's own skin, car or whatever eh !
Truth is not good all the time, some lies are better than the truith,. they give u a peace of mind.HHAHA
