    Hi ladies

i have been married for some months now and the two of us are in the phase of knowing each other better... there are a few of my husband's habits that i dislike but this one gets on my nerves..
every time he unpacks/opens a packet of something - new batteries, chewing gum, post-mail .... he lets the wrapper lying there.. Aaaahhh!!!! bonk
i generally give him sometime to pick it up and throw it out but when that doesnt happen soon enough i get really irritated. And the cleanliness buff - me - puts it away, almost always tsk

Thought of sharing this one with you ladies and listening to yours..
So please pen down the one thing/habit you dislike most about your husband.

    Good day ahead!
    Charu..

Whenever he repairs something, the tools used in that process will not be in the 'tool box' but where the repair is done.
When he asks for the same, some other time, i get irritated!

    Hi Bipasha

I totally empathise with you. Kitchen is our kingdom and a slight streak of dirt enrages me too!
I seriously wonder how a bachelors' house would be - messy and scattered!!!! shakehead

    Thanks for writing in Dear.
Good luck to all of us!

    Hi sriniketan

    Thanks for peeping in.
If we were also to behave like them.. the house would be an open closet :crazy

    Cheers

    Re: I dont like..

    Charu,
The problem is reverse in my house. I am changing for better though. I leave books where I read, leave wrappers around too lazy to throw them right away, but the stay with my clean husband is having it s effects on me. Before he comes from office, I clean everything and keep it appealing to his eyes. No papers lying elsewhere, no books scattered. Kitchen wiped, dry and hygienic.
    Just felt like sharing this.

As for your problem, try not to make a habit of accepting it or throwing them on ur own. Let him do that. If those wrappers lie there untouched explain that this annoys you. If the matter is still not resolved, I dont know what to say. My father who is married to my mom for 25 years has not changed much. Not to disappoint you, but I am trying to say, figure out a way to live with it.

    Re: I dont like..

    Hi charu,
My case is similiar to MeenLoch.I have become more organized after marriage. My hubby has everything sorted and tidy(kitchen too if he cooks).I dont think all bachelor keep their things messy and untidy..My husband is an exception. When i went to his room before marriage it was very neat.I was very much surprised.
There are other things i dislike..one among them is lack of punctuality which drives me crazy.. bonk Believe he hasnt changed it since our wedding inspite of my nagging.

Lets hope and wish u luck to handle this.
    Bye,
    supriya

    Re: I dont like..

    Hi Charu,
My hubby is actually the cleanliness freak (better of the two) and he actally helps me a lot in meeting his expectations. Like, he sets right the pillows and bedcovers in the morning soon after he wakes up, before even heading to brush.

But two things about him really irritate me.

1.He expects me to stand right in front of him the second he calls me. Doesn't understand that I would be doing some work, I need to set that aside. At least I need to walk over to him, not sprint.

    2. Whenever the phone rings I should be the person to pick the phone. Whether I am feeding my child, working in the kitchen, doing some important work, I need to come running and take the phone. He would be sitting right next to the phone and watching TV, but even if the phone rings to full and stops he won't pick up. If I ask him why he didn't pick up, he would say 'where were you all this time?'

    Regards

    Hi Meen

Nice to know about you and your husband :cool2:

I see quite some changes in my husband already(Touch Wood) - for the better i mean, so i am trying to act patiently instead of rushing things for him. But since i am at home longer than him, i tend to get irritated soon with his tiny carelessness here and there. Anyhow, i hope my strategy works - though it gets to testing my patience
    Thanks for your kind words!

    Charu..

Oh my!! that must be difficult
