    Hi,
my experience was a bit bitter. This is 19 years back.
First I went to my local gyn and she used used to give me some tablets to make sure of the ovalation. (Before that, my hubby got his semen tested and found that he was normal). As there was no positive result, I went to a famous dr. in Chennai. I do not want to mention her name here. She did all tests and I underwent artificial insemnation at her hospital.
The dr. may be a world renowned one, but I found the treatment (medical and otherwise) of the patients very impolite. As I did not have any problem, I decided to wait for it to happen naturally. I conceived after a year without any medical help.
Then, I wanted to have another child and went to another famous foreign returned dr. She was worse than the first one. Only people with hoards and hoards of money must think go to her. She and her assistants talk very nicely but if you opt not to prolong the investigation or treatment, you are treated very rudely.
But I think, the drs. first start with the basic treatment and go to more serious ones if no result is achieved. And that is okay, I feel so.

Think these ppl shud b screened Vassolraja/munnabhai till compassion gets into their head. No doubt ppl work for money, but being a ob/gyn demands a heart.u r dealing with ppl who are already hurt by soceity for not having a kid. I went to this famous doc in anna nagar. My god, she did'nt even look at me as that was my first visit. Her assistants took my case history. She scribbled some tests on paper and gave it to me left handed. Excuse me!! u r not for charity nor r v !!! Mere entry to the hospital is Rs.500. I did'nt visit her thereafter.

I went to the ob/gyn to whom my mom went in Tnagar. Very old, compassionate lady. Comforted me, allowed me to cry, vent my feelings. She answered my woes patiently. And her fees is not even half of the famous one. I am still on medication for infertility but my hope has increased manifold.

If your patient does'nt trust you, forget your foreign degrees and expensive drugs.

    Luv

    Ridge
