To all my friends

We met online,
which to me is just fine.
I hope one day we'll meet face to face,
in that one special place.

That day we meet will be so grand,
like god opening his hands.
Maybe one day you will think the same of me,
but until then you are my friend to be.

Wishing to meet you is all I dream,
if I don't I'll surely scream.
That day I will dance around,
and maybe even fall to the ground.

Your the best friend I could ever get,
I've known this since the day we met.
In person you will see,
how good of friends were meant to be.

Only if you live next door,
maybe are friendship would become much more.
Until that day we do meet,
you'll be my bestfriend online who is very sweet.

Dear Madhu,
I loved your posting,hmm, poem !
It is so very true.
But let me share my thoughts. So long as we do no meet, friendship flourishes. Once we meet, there may be "jolts" & "brakes" - likely, I mean.
If it is next door, we are more anxious that familiarity should not breed contempt !
Nothing like online friendship - my life is bliss and beautiful, today !

Wow that was a lovly poem for online friends. Thank you Madhu. Either online or next door a friend is a friend no one can take their place, if far or near they will always flourish our life dear. We havn't seen each other still we feel we are so close to each other. I will wait for the day we get the opporunity to meet you all somewhere or the other.

Dear Madhu,

That was a beautiful poem with a lot of sentiments.Thanks....yes it does bring out the spirit of friendship and camaraderie that is the foundation of this excellent site IL.
Nevertheless, I would like to agree wholeheartedly with the views expressed by Chitvish that on-line equations are best if they remain on-line.
What I like best about this on-line ocean of friends is the opportunity it gives me to log on and establish contact at any hour and without bothering to dress up or comb my hair ,and the freedom to sit in front of the screen in my nightie too! No need to feel self conscious about my extra kilos or if I had not dyed my hair to conceal the greys!!
Those IL members who often send SOS 's across the miles asking senior members for advice on personal problems are also able to do so without hesitation or inhibhitions as on-line makes it easier for them to pour their hearts out to strangers ...in the sense they have not met them personally.This invisibility is a great boon on many occasions ,I feel.
