SaiRam to all my family members at IL!

My parents are Sai devotees, so am I. Just a thought went on in my mind as to link all Sai devotees in this thread. My mom regularly goes for Sundaram Service (every Thursday and Sunday) to make garland for Swami with her samithi members. She has been going to Parthi service for the past five years.

I got the divine opportunity to meet Swami when he had come here to Chennai for AdhiRudhra Maha Yagyam. We went on the very first day and the last day of the Yagyam to get his divine blessings. That was the very first time i had seen Swami. Before that occasion, I used to be prepared as to what all i should think when am in the arena where Swami is present, and what all I need to pray. But all in veins. The moment i saw Swami in that large open ground, in a wheel chair rolled by Swami's students, tears hit my cheeks and i sighed a deep breath.

"What do i ask for Swami? Is it my parents happiness? Is it to increase my strength manifold times to render service for my parents? Is it to instill peace within myself? Is it to install world peace?
Is it the society's well knitted frame work? Is it to curb terrorism and human violence? Is it to transform to a vegetarian global community? Is it to root out negative politics in all walks of life? Is it to teach the young leaders of tomorrow about optimism? OR IS IT THE WELL BEING OF YOUR OWN SELF SWAMI? :) "

Yes, all those questions just flashed across as Swami's eyes met mine before he stepped on to the beautifully carved throne setting. How could people ask for their own well being and pleasures satisfied when they meet Swami. When i posted this question to my mom, answers flashed across. Yes, he is an Avtar
(Bhaghwan) in human form. But am unable to console my mind with the same. Swami tells that he gets all worries and pains from his devotees, but have we ever thought to undergo his hard-ships (even though humanely not possible) at least once? My mom tells i have gone mad. But i tell myself that Swami is one among us and the love we shower on him will be doubly and exponentially reciprocated back.

Let us all unite here and pray for the well being of Swami always in all ways (not pausing with the prayers that were initiated here on the auspicious 23rd). Let we also share our experiences with Bhaghwan to inspire others.

    Regards
    SaiRam.

    hi ramya,

i was present for ARMY (Athi Rudra Maha Yagnam) for 7 days. since i belong to messengers of sathya sai (old students of swami), i was in women security wing. it was really thrilling and joyful, when we served in chennai, that too in Swami's presence.

though i do not visit Sundaram often, we used to get together for our messengers meeting at Sundaram. i take part in medical camps, narayana seva, bajans (2nd Saturdays in Sundaram - ours) organized by messengers. if possible try to attend our bajans on 2nd Saturdays. this month it is on 8th December. a very few words for now. i might come back later.

    Sai Ram.

    SaiRam dear Vanaja ma'am,

Thanks for the immediate feedback and a kind gesture!

Ya, even my mom does narayana seva every month. She visits a village called Modhiram bedu with her samithi members for service. They have adopted that village and are helping in up-bringing of the locale there.

Its really great and divine that are one of Swami's students. (Bless me aunty:queen, as that would have Swami's blessings within). Surely will try my best to attend this Sat bajan aunty. But if not possible, pl do excuse. But surely the coming month and the new year my mom and myself will be there:)

    Regards

    Sai Ram Ramya and Vanaja

You both were very fortunate to be at ARMY. I read all about it. I have been in contact with Asha Rao from Malawi (she was also in Anantapur College) and their medical camp seva was in the November issue of Heart to Heart magazine. You can also read in the Birthday posts about the South African Sai centres.

I think when you are physically close to God you mistake him for man. Being so far away we also get reports of Swami being so frail but when I read of all the events taking place every week in Prashanti and with Baba presiding over it, still materializing chains for the artists, taking photos with the devotees from various parts of India and the world who have come to present items, I amazed!

I told my parents recently, " What's this we hear that Baba is so frail He is having a merry old time."
Swami has said we must detach from the body and even with him we have to stop identifying him only with the body and binding him only to his physical presence. We have to go beyond that and see him in everything.

Yet I know I too would feel a bit concerned if I saw him physically. Infact from the Birthday time I've been feeling sad cos I feel Swami only has 14 years left on this physical plane. I've become restless to visit the ashram and be in his physical presence - I feel that time is running out. My daughter Mayuri is one now and perhaps next year after she turns 2 we can make a trip as a family.

With the world in the state it is, is it any wonder the weight that is on Swami.

You both are very fortunate please keep us informed of events in Chennai.

    Regards Neesha

    Dear Neesha ma'am, SaiRam,

Absolutely right. Swami always tells that we should not worry about his physical condition as it is his janma to take the bodily pressures of his devotees.

Swami had already told that his next Avtar would be PremaSai and if am not wrong he would be at Hyderabad. I will ask my mom regarding the details. And if someone can share their opinion, you are welcome.

    Regards

    Dear Ramya,

It is nice to see some sai devotees... It is long time since I had the opportunity of a Dharshan... It is more than 14-15 yrs...

Running around in this materialistic world.... Sai has changed the course of my life... After a long time, I managed to attend the sai bhajan here on his birthday...

You are lucky to have his dharshan... Why should you wish for something... He who made you have his Dharshan will take care of your requirements.... Showering love and affection towards bhagawan is great....

    Jai Sai Ram.........

    Dear Vysan sir, A hearty SaiRam;

Thanks a lot for your kind words. True. We do feel that Swami change our course of action; but shall i share what i feel. It is we who have forgotten our course of action in our race for materialistic accomplishments and Swami guides us or more specifically helps us to retrace back to the perfect track.

My wishes and prayers for you and your family to have a Dharshan of our Swami at the earliest.

    Regards

    Dear Ramya,

    Jai Sai Ram.....

Sayee has changed the course of my life for betterment....

I agree with you... It is we who run around in the materialistic world...

Sorry, somewhere my communication has gone wrong....

I strongly believe, it is not that we go and have a Dharshan.... If he wants us, we will be called for.... It is he who directs.....

    Dear Ramya,

    Sai Ram

Thanks a lot for starting this thread as i am also a devotee of Sai Baba. I had been to Puttaparti long back i think in the year 1980. Infact my mother was a devotee of Sai Baba and we used to have bhajan every thursday at home but my in-laws are not a devotee.:-( I always carry a small post card of Baba. I know he is there to help us always.

    Jai Sai Ram.

    Dear most Vysan sir,

You were not at all wrong. Pl do apologize if i had told anything wrong. Absolutely true, my mom keeps on telling that Swami himself will call us when the right time comes. And just that we should always be talking to Swami that he should call us. This is just a way to sub-consciously register within us the immense love Swami showers on us when we keep a step towards his best self.

    SaiRam
