    Dear friends,

In the film avvayar K.P Sundarambal being a devotee of lord ganapathy one who doesnt wanna get married when her wedding was arranged at the early age will sing a song and at the end by lord ganeshas blessing :bowdownwould turn into a old age woman.

if given a chance i would like to press the forward button and wish to land up in after 30 years ( oops il be old age woman:queen........ anyways its just an imagination so no probs)........... where i can find my children well settled, married and blessed with kids, my DH retired from work and has time to spend with me............

things will be faster than as of now and India would have become a developed country and with all hitech things life would have been easier(I wish)........ and people from US, Australia, newzealand will be waiting after applying for immigration to India.........

what is your choice?????????? you would prefer to get back to ur childhood or stay as present or go to future days.???????///

Had I been given the choice I would go back to childhood and college days.Carefree days with no responsibilities or worries. You had just to study. There was people to take care of you.You need not take decisions.Parents were there to protect you.I really had a roaring time when I was in school and college. Then when the children were young it was fun.But now we have more responsibilities. But as Ravishankar says live in the present not in past or future and life will be more enjoyable. So I am doing that.

Dear Vidya, Thats an interesting topic. I too agree with kanaka, i would only hit the rewind button, if i am given a chance. I would like to go back to my childhood days and enjoy the life with my siblings and friends who r all busy right now. i would also like to undo all the mistakes i have done in life. We donot know what future has in hold for us. The thought always scares me. There is a saying in Tamil " Mupathu varusham valnthavanim illai. Mupathu varusham thalthavanum illai" So far the life has been good without hassles. So we donot know what problems we r going to face in future. Really scared to face the future.

    Hello Vidya ma'am,

    An enthralling evening to you!

The topic as such would attract people of all genres. Yes, true that all of us characterize our childhood days as smarter without any worries, easy going without shouldering responsibilities, days bouncing off evenly, and more importantly our world revolved around the aroma of "innocence". The innocence in us made us move with others without ego, anger, pride, jealousy and negative attitude. We grow up physically, so do our maturity level! There are situations when our education misguides us and when the materialistic wealth makes us "aloof" from the social environment.

The aspect of "Time-machine" proves to be one such example. Even though an ironic situation; moving ahead of time or dating back to the history; each and every one of us need to pursue the present as our "asset". It would be soothing to say that i wish to pause my time with the child-hood memories, but applying practically, all of us will agree that "we strive to live smart in the present by taking examples from the past to lead "an enduring tomorrow".

Opinions differ:iagree, but the fact reveals itself!

    Regards

    Hi Vidhya,

I would prefer living in the present. I am not very curious to know what the future holds for me - Que, Sera, sera. I am happy for those joyous childhood days.

It does sound nice - people waiting in lines to get a visa to India.

Nice post, Vidya!Mostly all like to be young but you differ in this! Nothing wrong to think about it and prepare for the same.I like to be in the present with lovabale memories of the childhood, but about the future we don't know what is in store for us.Live the present, that's is why it is called ' present'.
