    Malayalam Name :
    Avara, Aveeram, Aviram, Jimute, Ponnaviram, Avaram, Avarakka.

    Avara-gida, Avarike, Olletangedi, Sakusina, Tangadi, Tangadi-gida, Tangedi, Ttaravada-gida,Aavarike, Bobbade, Chakoosina gida, Charma hada aavarike, Honnavari gida, Olle thangadi.

    Ingredient 2

    Asiatic pennywort, Gotu Kola, (English), Bacopa monniera, Chi-hsueh Ts’ao, man t’ien hsing, Brahmi, Brahma-manduki, Bemgsag, (Hindi), Mandooka Parni (Sanskrit), Vallarai keerai (Tamil), Centella asiatica (botanical name) family, Umbelliferae is commonly found near river banks, water streams or water ponds or reservoirs. This herbaceous plant grows well in moist soil conditions. The perennial herb is abundantly found in swampy, tropical regions. You can easily identify this slender, long stemmed creeping plant and its small, kidney shaped (reniform) lobed, green leaves as well as its pinkish red or white flowers. The plant has no taste or smell.

    Ingredient 3

    The Botanical name of this greens(plain karisalankanni) is Eclipta prostrata. There are 3 different spcies again. Blue, White and Yellow. Manjal Karisalan kanni (yellow ones) Botanical name is 'Wedelia chinensis'or Wedelia calendulaceae! It is called Bringaraj and the yellow ones as Pila Bhangara in Hindi. English common name is Wedelia Leaves. In Sanskrit Peeta Bringaraja.

    This plant has white flowers.

    There is also another variety of Bringhraj with yellow flowers.
    The Bhringraj plant with yellow flowers is the Wedelia calendulaceae. The two varieties of karisalankanni (Bhringhraj) belong to the same family - Asteraceae.

    Often used in curries, the leaves generally go by the name "curry leaves", though they are also called "sweet neem leaves." It is an unavoidable content of curries in South India, where without curry leaves, curry seems to be tasteless. The Kannada name means "black neem", since the appearance of the leaves is similar to the unrelated bitter neem tree. Same way in Gujarati it is known as "limdo" or "meetho leemdo" (means Sweet neem).

    Haritaki in Sanskrit Harrad in Hindi,ink-nut as a common name,kadukkai in Malayalam,Terminalia chebula as botanical name

    In Urdu and Hindi it is called Harad, Haritaki, or Harada, respectively 'Inknut'. In Sri Lanka it is called Aralu. In Marathi it is called as 'Hirada', in Kannada it is called 'Alalekaayi' and in Tamil it is called 'Kadukkai'. In Bengali it is called horitoky. In Assamese it is called Hilikha. In Telugu it is called 'Karakkaya'. In the United States it is found in some Indian stores; it is known as 'Harde Whole'.

    Hi Shreepriya,

    For people who apply oil daily a little of this on the hair roots / scalp is enough, in cases where people apply oil only during hair wash a good amount also will do - u can either wash your hair with shampoo or shikakai. The oil does not have any bad smell.

    Please inform about the exact words of the ingredients used( in english) as i m living in UAE Sharjah so i could easily find theses ingredients .My hair is also falling too much and my husband is also fed up from it.Im very much depressed

    Dear Aliya,

    Sorry i doubt whether i will get the exact translation of the ingredients in english, which may not serve the purpose if it differs from what is to be used. Hence, i would rather suggest you to please try the ingredients in some indian store over there, where you get south indian items.
