Ladies wake up, are u aware that what u go through on the delivary table is avoidable?

More than 95% of ladies in India and abroad may be I am not aware are heavy in the hips and this need not be the case at all, as the staff in the hospital whichever u mention have no patient for the baby to arrive, so what do they do, they slice through your vagina, so that baby can be removed, sometime in the process of this slicing many lose the texture on the muscle that contract there. Then what happens, you tend to lose your sexual life, and the stitches don’t help either, they hurt while u have sex.

Been witness to a lot of baby delivery in National Geography and see no knife there, hope the normal deliveries are done so, which is not. Most of the hospitals prefer C section in comparison to the normal delivery for the simple reason many say they want to use the equipments so this is being done. Let us look at this from a doctor’s view point, the C section is suggested only when normal delivery is not possible, or the passage is too small and the thighs block the easy delivery of the baby. Nowadays it is done in the bikini line and u can walk away the third day, as there is no pressure when u get up from bed or lying down or so, the muscles in the bikini area are too supple and not tight where it hurts the movements.

In comparison to the olden days my grandmother has given birth to more than 13 children and the procedure is with more than 4 ladies at a time helping her to deliver normally.
They make her squat on one of the ladies leg, and a big stumped cloth hung from top of the ceiling for her to hold and push when the baby is coming, her both legs are held in squatting position by the middle wife who comes to deliver, and some hot water is kept near and a big katori of castrol oil, to keep applying as the baby comes forth and goes back, so allowing enough time to help the muscle enlarge and deliver the baby.

But nowadays I feel no time /otherwise a lot of knife can be avoided at least in places where it is very important for the mother to continue enjoying as woman.. now I am not suggesting C section here but the woman who are going to deliver better make it clear with the hospital that they should either wait for the baby to come, and not rush by cutting it away because the pain will be unbearable, not doubt but think about ur future too. I know a lot of ladies might find it embarrassing to help out here, and can take the help of the moderators to post if u feel u want to be anonimous....with regards sunkan

    very true abha,
that is y posted it here, many are shy to inform, but someone must bell the cat right, the medical field what ever they have achieved are not patient to do the natural way, so make it clear all u young mothers to be, no knife but yes please do bear with the pain, and make ur mind set ready for it, otherwise go in for a c section as deliverying is a part in a woman's life it should not take over her life, and degenerate the relation with her man...regards sunkan

    Dear Sundari,

Hope you have recovered well after your surgery.

I read this lead post for yours with much interest and horror. I understand that you want to warn us of the indifference and haste of medical practitioners and money greedy hospitals. But, honestly do women have a choice or knowledge to address this issue either before or while they are at the delivery table? In my humble opinion, it is best (not the best or right but optimal) decision to go with what doctors say at that point.

Please do not get me wrong. I have profited much by your advice and articles, but this one I feel is scary atleast to me.

    affly

    dear vidya,
i know u r scared of this article, but my friend lived through this and is a cook in some house in chennai, she lost her only child and is fending for herself, whereas the man lived with another woman all his life and is in death bed now, those days he ridiculed abt her having problem after her delivery and when the man of the mistress told her " u should had instructed the doctor to leave a only 3" instead u left it to be dissected so lost the man too, it was too raw for her who came from a wonderful family but calamity strikes all over, her parents too died in an accident. So today she is nowhere because of one medical mistake, i know u might say if love had been there and all, but if the bed is not warm no heart is warm...love sundari kannan

    Dear Sundari,

An healthy post to know abt, Thanks for sharing the same. i totally agree with your opions as i have seen many of my friends going thru the same dilemma but mine was a very unique case. i had delivered a healthy baby girl 2 and half years back in presence of my husband.( he was called in to see the entire process)

i should thank my MOM who took all the pain to get me thru this & its really worth mentioning abt my Gync here she is a perfect lady. she waited until she cud see the baby's head peeping out. you may be bit surprised as y this normal process is being described... But all this happening to me was nothing but god's gift as i had suffered a fire accident 6 months from my marriage .
having 20% of burns and delivering normal was really miracle for me & the credit goes to my MOM who is no more and my Doctor :thankyou2: who had given me a new life without using her knife . she delivered my sisters kid too inspite of a sitaution where the little one had boozed motion inside the womb

    Hi Sunkan,

I read your post now. I am at 27 weeks and due in mid Feb. Your post was very informative. I got pregnant 4 months after marriage and havent taken any pills. Till now by god's grace, I havent taken any medications during pregnancy and I sincerely wish and pray that baby is born without any surgery or unneccessary use of medications.

Here they have some sessions during 32nd week where in they ask preferences of moms to be. They do allow fathers to be in delivery room. But I am confused whether I should ask my husband to be in the room or not.

Do give your valuable suggestions at the time of labor and what questions do I need to clarify with the hospital staff beforehand?

    dear tamil,
you should start on your calcium intake and other vitamins which the doc should advise you to take, as we do not have a proper meal, like keerai, and veg with so many vitamins, salad and yoghurt and other protein like corn, chana, and other sprouted veg, so pl plan your diet, not much of fat but at the same time good nutrition so that when the child is absorbing from you, both will benefit a lot.. please do include a lot of fruits usually they advise for vitamic C so please check with the doc, otherwise you will loose on your nutrition in the body as the baby will keep taking all from you...In our times we were made to sweep more, squat and swab the house so the muscles will stretchwell but nowadays there are exercises which you should join and help your self from unnecessary weight gaining which leads to many other intervention mentioned by me here hope to get more feed back from you after you visit your doc...sunkan

Thanks Sunkan for the post. I have my midwife checkup next wednesday. I have started taking Vitamin D tablets as there is no source of sunlight till March

I do eat fruits, vegetables, yoghurt. But everyone has been telling me without a pause that I should take milk which I do not like at all. I do try putting kesar powder etc to let myself into drinking milk. But I know I am not able to.

Other than this I eat normal food, my food intake hasnt increased or something becoz of pregnancy nor do I crave for food. off lately I am starting to like more sweets. :) though its a good idea to reduce it....
