    Hello Vidya
Thanks for peeping in............Happy Diwali to you and your family.
I to like the pop up cards but not so good at it. because even slightest mistake spoils the whole card. So I don't put my hands on it too much.
I think only one or two cards came out good:-D

    Hello Bhuvana
    Thanks for your compliments.
Sure will teach you what you want to know ask me will explain it to you. The one you are talking about is embordiery one it is very simple choose any picture you like and at the out line put holes at equal distance and just pass the thread through those holes in such a way that it forms a net. If you make the picure on the graph paper it will be very easy to mark the holes. You can use anchor threads which has 6 strings but you have to use only one string. And later you can decorate it with beads, small ones or even long pipe like beads you get those, it is all your imagination.

    hi Anuarc,
Great cards. I have tried quilling and done a piece but I have aproblem in cutting the sheets evenly into thin strips so the end result is not so good. Do you have any suggestions where I can get even strips. I got to know about this on the net.
    Thanks regards
    uma

    Hello Uma
It is really nice to know you have tried quilling. I have no idea where do we get the quilling strips in india have asked some of the friends to find out but seem they are not successful in that. Before cutting the strips draw a line with a pencil so it might be a bit easier. see if you can get paper cutting scale I will put up that picture tomorrow. so u will get the idea how it looks and can search for it.

    Hello Ladies
Some more cards............ for Christmas in traditional colours green, red and gold.
    1. It is a wreath with a bow on it, you can had some glitters, sequiens and some beads and make it more attractive. This is a bit tricky one first do the stems and then the berries.

    2. Mistletoe:- here you first colour the leaves with pastel colours and do the outline with stemstitch and later do the berries.

    3. It is a christmas tree have made it simple but would like you to do more attractive. I have put sequeins but you can add stars, decorate the tree with some red beads and gold and silver beads or anything else that you have and sprakle some glitters on it and make it more attractive.

    4. A simple candle. With leaves and some sequeins stuck on it.
