    Dear TDU,

    Thanks for stepping in....

This madrasi tag... I used to work in Delhi... For them anybody from south is called a madrasi... But in general i found that they are not too cunning like the south...

I have faced similar situations where we consider somebody as a friend and confide things... and at the end of the day that fellow will ditch us or use those info against us...

    Dear Abha,

    Thanks for stepping in....

I agree with you that nobody is responsible for the ladys safety and she has to take care of herself....

Having worked in the corporate world, know how people ditch and step on others to go up the ladder.... So in an office everybody cannot be called as a friend...

    Dear Blondie,

    Thanks for clarifying....

Yes, I agree with you, it might create an unpleasent feeling among the staff, at times...

I also understand that being the only women in the team, it is like walking on a tight rope....

    Thanks....

    Hi veda,

    Why should Raghu wonder......

Raghu helps because he wants to not because she asked....and I believe he should not expect anything in return.......

The girl is right...she knows where to draw the line..being the single lady in the group, she can't go about naming who her friends are and jeopardize her relation with the team...

If she really was world wise, my take is she would have gone out of her way ooh aahing Raghu and all...since Raghu is her boss....

Now Raghu has to learn where to extend help and where not to...there is a limit to be drawn to the amount of favours...being too friendly with the subordinates..works well but there is a price to pay for that...

    my 2 cents.....

    Dear Shan,

Thanks for your time and 2 cents..... It is worth a much more than that...

I agree with you that Raghu should not expect as he is extending help to his subordinates....

Point taken that being a single lady can't name the friends, and jeopardise the relationship with others....

    Thanks for your views.........

    Hello Veda
Another good topic to talk on. According to me..........
Raghu, Balu and Cheenu should shower unconditional love on Bhama. Friend or Colleague are two english words but the gesture of picking up and dropping is emotional and should not depend on weather Bhama considers them as friends or as colleagues.
In this case if they are doing it out of expectation of Bhama considering them as friend and not out of sheer unconditional love and affection for a member of a team then I am afraid the concern that these men have for Bhama is not genuine.

    Dear Arunarc,

    Thanks for peeping in...

I agree with you that picking and dropping is a good gesture but it should come without any conditions attached to it....

    Thanks for your views....

    Dear Vysan,

R &B are Raghu and Balu - thanks Blondie

Whether a village or town girl, a girl steps out of the house knowing fully that she is on her own to reach her office and back home when there is no one at home to do the job. Also take the point of being independent to it.

Pls do clarify whether this gesture is being extended by R or B out of goodness or because our lady has also asked for the favour.

A colleague expecting to be tagged as a friend is no big deal. But if a lady can travel with a male colleague but refuses to acknowledge him as a friend just because she wants to retain her moral peace is sure funny.

Draw a line all the way - dont travel with a male who is not in your family and dont call him your friend.

I also think that expecting a colleague to help her reach office and home when it is out of the way for that person should be recognised by her as a favour being done to her. I am very firm on this because, I have a male colleague in my neighbourhood and I dont expect any help from him -- for your info I travel from Sharjah to Dubai - 1.5 hours each way.

    My views of course.
