    Hi all,

How many of you are Sivasankari fans? I for one is her ardent fan. I love the way she plays with human emotions.

Her first novel that I read was Nandu. It is about a woman who is a cancer patient. Sivasankari brought the emotions of the woman and the way a family is affected very well. She has a way with words and make us emotionally attached to her characters.

For the last few days I have been searching for her novel Edharkaaga, still unable to find it. My mom keeps saying it is one of her best. I hope I could lay my hands on that novel soon.

So, come on gals...share what you like about your favorite author Sivasankari and which is her best novel according to you.

    Regards,
    Ice

    Hi Saagini,

Sivasankari novels belong to a totally differnt genre from RC and UB. They are not soft romance novels, but basically deals with various human emotions. For ex:, 'Nandu' deals with a woman who suffers from cancer. The novel shows how much she suffers and eventually dies. Another novel, 'Edharkaga' deals with a woman who is in TTC. Her long wait to get pregnant, how people ridicule her, etc. She finally becomes a happy mother, but the climax is heart breaking.

These days I avoid her novels, as I feel there is more negativity. But if you could read it just as a story (which is impossible, because her writing style makes you feel more attached to the characters) and if you are OK with stories with negative endings, I would suggest you go ahead and read her novels. Ultimately, her choice of words and writing style is impeccable :cheers
