Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.
And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
    He knows
I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.
And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.
Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.
"Tomorrow" I say! "I will call on Jim
Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grow
Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.
Remember to always say what you mean.
If you love someone, tell them.
Don't be afraid to express yourself.
Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you.
Because when you decide that it is the right time it might
    be too late.
Seize the day. Never have regrets.
And most importantly, stay close to your friends
and family, for they have helped
make you the person that you are today.

    SMILE, even through your tears!!!!!"

    Hello Chocoqueen
When you want to talk to a friend you should not think, will she remember me or not. A friend is such a person who is always there with you, she is never far. To speak to a friend you need not see time or day or what she will think. How can you tell, even she might be thinking the same way that you r thinking, so why don't you take the first step in calling her I am 100% sure if she is a true friend she will be the most happiest person to hear your voice. Go ahead and meet her she will welcome you with open arms. Friend is the only person who is with you all the time. So My dear friend please go and meet her and tell her how much you miss her.

    Dear Arunarc,

    How true.... Very nice.... Great....

Twice when I went to India, I wanted to meet one of my maternal grand-uncles... But unfortunately, I couldnt make it due to want of time... Alas, last week, my wife rang up and told me that he has passed away... I felt so sad and bad... I couldnt meet him, inspite of he staying only a few kms away from my Res...

I agree with you that we have to express our love and feelings, when we have the time....

    Hello Veda
Sorry to hear about your uncle.......... But many a time such things do happen and we blame for that ......and it happens for some reason or the other we don't do these things on purpose or something but it happens. So where ever possible it is always good to express our feelings. I too had a very big group of friends when i was in Uni after getting married all of us got seperated don't even know where they are now, I just remember them and look at the photos thats all just a few of us have contact with each other but we make it a point to send a mail atleast once in a month. So when ever I go to india I make it a point to meet all as far as possible..... But still we miss out some can't help it

touchy one, Aruna, which once again reminds us to be in touch with our friends and relatives and express our gratitude to them, wherever and whenever necessary.
