    My small garden.....

I have a garden on the roof..

I love nature it is a proof..
    I nurture them with care..
    hurt them, I don't dare ...

This morning saw all plants so green,
    when the morning was serene...
    after few days of rain....

    How beautiful they all are...
    the hibiscus,the jasmine
    new leaves, lot of buds,
    Growth that did not happen...
When I nurtured them with so much love..

Is my rose plant mocking at me...
I wonder taking a whiff of the mint...
Is it because they were waiting for mother nature to shower her love
    that was missing,through the rain

Is there a message for me and you...
a child blossoms better in mother's care
    than in another's loving care...

    Dear Shan,

The greenery in the plants after rains, with the morning sun reflecting them... It is great sight to watch... When your hungry kids, have a bath and happy meal, how happy they will be... How happy you will be... seeing them... It is the same case...

The kids enjoy themselves when their mothers, cuddle them, play with them... This is not only for human beings, even for animals... Have you not seen, the cow licking the calf and playing... Dogs, Cats... every animal does it... you can watch it... It is a happy feeling for both the Mother and the kid... Nature is the mother for all... So, Ofcourse, when she showers her love, the kids will be very happy....

    Hi Shnavy,

Wow, another poem. Even the poets cannot give poems continuosly. The climate, The nature, your loneliness, your kids, your love, your language ability......... makes you write poems, gr8 yaar.

This time you tried little rhyming too. Good. You got it. Sooner you are going to become a real poet, why dont you try in tamil also, may be you can write lyrics for a song.

    Best of luck. Keep trying.

    Bala

    Shanthi,
That seemed to be a nice one! We are all showing so much concern for children! We are vying with each other to highlight todays' childrens' plight. Even Sathya has written a poem on similar lines. Hope it reaches the right people! I love to convey my feelings through poems because they can convey the message easily and strongly. I enjoyed this poem of yours.

    Hi Shanthi
You are too quick yaar. And not bad your 1st comment of your poems is always Veda. Good Comparision Mr. Veda. animals, human beings, nature all share the same love of mother and kid. And shanthi keep the printout of your poems yaar so that you can have your own poem books printed out in your name. This too is good. It is nice to know that you put your emotions and experiences in the form of poems, that is just great.
Another marvellous poem on nature. your last lines on mother and child suits the best at this moment as there are many threads going on in the forum on love, mother and child

    Nice poem, Shanthi.
It is true that however we care, the plants are refreshed after the rains.

In my case, our daughters were in India last time for 2 months, whole.
I went there to pick them up only after their 45 days in chennai.
Your poem reminded me of the situation, when we were talking over the phone- my daughters told me -- We miss you, Amma!

I think this is the same case with plants where they must also be waiting for the mother nature to pour her love!
