Dear Mami, It would be kind of you if you could help me with my question. Due to Space constraint we are not able to plant tulsi currently here. We are thinking of buying the silver Tulsi plant available in Jewellery shops. I would like to know if it is allowed to keep this replica in silver of tulsi plant among the dieties in the swami room. Thanking you, Parvathi.
Dear Paru, Yes, go ahead. I personally feel it is the attitude/devotion/interest which counts! Manasikam scores over physical criterion! Love, C.
Dear Mam I have go thru with another thread regarding Tulasi, in that thread it says Tulasi can not be offered except Vishnu or Narayana , is it correct ? Bcoz I am growing all kind flower plants in our terrace garden, specialy for daily puja purpose , sometime I am not getting enough flowers then I used to take tulasi to offer to keep on deity while pooja to avoid feel ignored other idols . I feel that Tulasi is been considered aspious so use this instead of Flowers when there shortage , is it wrong please clarify . Regards
Dear Sir, This is new to me. I have heard that one should not offer it to Lord Ganesha. I think you can offer it to all other deities. Regards, C

Dear Chitra ma'am Thank you immensely on this very informative article on the Thulasi plant. I have a special place in my heart for Thualsi-my mother's name is Thulasi. I wanted to sing this song for my mom on my next trip to India; so I asked my vocal music teacher to teach me the krithi, "Thulasi dhala" and I am also planning to sing it in our Thyagaraja Aradhana this year. After my teacher translated the meaning of the song I realised Thulasi's paramount importance. Your article has strengthened my conviction. I have some seeds my parents gave and going to plant them this weekend.
Dear Kamala, So, there is a musician sitting inyou??!! Very good:thumbsup I love the raga MM Gala & thulasidala is a serene song!! Wish you all the best for your programme. Love, C.
