Hi Saroj, Your way of appreciating the post is excellent. Animation picture of clearing snow is too cute... My DH's friend tell us, how they clear snow from their entrance.. I could visualise his situation thru this animation...

Nice pictures Rama... Thanks for sharing.. Freezing cold na... I heard even it is difficult to walk on the roads during winter there, because of skidding.

Thank you Malliga...that's how I feel during all the seasons...life cycle going around right infront of the eyes. Just like how babies bring joy and fresh breath of air, one can feel that in spring as well.

Thank you Saroj...sitting cooped up in the house, all we can do is see through the window and digital cameras are such a blessing :)

Thank you Rani...yes when it freezes over it is a little difficult to walk. Oh we have been getting pounded with so much snow so early....we are already looking forward to spring, yet 3 more months to go. The bright side is, kids love it and we end up with some activities in the snow!!

    Hi Sabitha,

Yet another beautiful view of your yard :-D.

The climate is already chill here (and we have had our share of sand storm this week ), and seeing the pics that you posted is making me feel more chill :).

Thanx for sharing dear. I seem to be getting familiar with your yard :).

    Bye

Thank you saraswathi....so is it common for you to have sand storms when the temps fall? How low does it go for you? I have always wanted to see these storms and take those rides on the sand dunes as well :)

We are now sitting deep in about 6inches of snow, kids could not have been more excited and honestly I love the winters - love the feeling of having indoors cozy with me :)

Srama, beautiful pictures, as usual! I love the winter and snow too, practical difficulties of driving shovelling etc aside. Like someone mentioned it is lovely to see and experience the life cycle of seasons and see it start all over again with spring. (My son loves the Caillou song that goes "Winter, Spring summer, fall, the seasons they go round and round"...)

I also feel it is wonderful to step outside and experience the crisp and cold air, equally nice is coming back into the coziness and warmth of the home.

We had our first snow of the season a few days back, and welcomed it with hot chai and bajjis :)

Sabitha, we do have sand storm often. Specially when the climate changes. Sometimes heavy..sometimes mild.

Early last year, it was so heavy that all flights had to be cancelled. It happened on the day my MIL arrived..and her flight was diverted to Doha (Qatar). Only after the weather improved, everything was cleared and we spent the whole day in the airport, waiting for her, as the schedules were indefinite.

The temperature goes down to single digits during peak winters...and around 50 deg C during summers. Extreme weather conditions here.
Now the winter seem to have delayed.
