Has anyone tried this combination ?

In our house, we are on a restricted diet for preventing weight gain. We (me and my wife) have a self discipline, which we enforce in our dinner every alternate days.

We eat, two idlies, spicy, dilute coconut chutney............with one egg omlette, (plus two raw thin cucumbers) for dinner, for every alternate night. We eat this for 15 days a month. I love this combination of idlie, dilute spicy coconut chuney plus omlette. It is not boring , though I eat it 15 days a month.

(as I said, it is a way of self-restrained eating for me, because I am a voracious eater in the past)

Some one try this and tell me, whether you liked this combination.

    Hi Soniya

I tried your Rawa Dosa and it turned out SUPERB. The credit goes to you. Thanks dear.
Today morning i tried your noodles but I overcooked the noodles and so it is sticky sticky. Next time i will be more careful... Thanks dear for nice receipes.

Today for lunch, i did Karela subji ( mix salt with cut pcs of karela n keep aside for 15 mts, then nicely squeeze and wash out to remove the salt - Then in Pan add oil + jeera + onion + slit green chillis and fry. Then add karela + haldi + little corrainder powder. sprinkle water and cook, then add garam masala little. Garish with little coconut (optional) and corrainder leaves).
+ green peas and Soya chunks subji ( Receipe from google search - I tried some months back and everyone likes it, so weekly once i prepare )
    Soya Chunks - 2 cups
    Onions - 1 cup, chopped

    Tomatoes - 4, chopped

    Green Peas - 1/2 cup

    Gram Flour ( Besan) - 1 tbs

    Curd - 1 tbs

Green Chillies - 3, slit lenghtwise

    Curry Leaves - a few

    Mustard - 1/2 tsp

    Jeera (Cumin) - 1/2 tsp

Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp

    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

    Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp

    Chilli powder - 2 tsp

Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp

    Salt to taste

    <!--/div>
    </div--><!--div class="node-inner-box" > <div class="node-inner-box-inner instructions"-->How to make Soya Chunks with Green Peas Curry

Wash Soya Chunks & boil them with 2 cups of water for 15 minutes or until water evaporates. Keep aside

Heat oil in a vessel, when hot, add mustard & allow them to splutter. Add jeera, onions, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves, chillies and saute until onions turn light brown.

Add tomatoes, besan, green peas, curds, turmeric, dhaniya, garam masala, chilli and salt. Add little water & bring to boil

When the mixture thickens, add the soya chunks & bring to another boil

    Garnish with cilantro

+ Chappati + Dodhi sambar + rice + pudina curd ( grind fresh pudina leaves and green chilli and mix with curd - nice with chappatis)
