Hi Sumati,
As such I have not heard any bad experiences about clomid. Even we are trying for a baby... My doctor had prescribed clomid. I took the same for 2 months. Though I should say that I didnt conceive... But I have read many good things about clomid in the internet. You can also check the same.

Even I am put on with fertyl- same ingredients as Clomid. I read about it in the internet. Evn I was shocked abt the side effects of Clomid. One thing u should do if u take clomid is - Go for a scan in your third week of ur cycle, will help in knowing if the ovray has enlarged than normal
- Pls visit doc if u get cramps in stomach/pelvic
- Also keep a watch on ur eyesight. and if u r driving vehicle, should avoid if u r on clomid.

I got these info thru net. This month I am on clomid/fertyl. I had pain thruout the cycle. Got a scanning done in 3rd week. everything is normal.due for 7 days. Hope its positive this time.

Hi Sumati,

Clomid is wildly used medicine to induct so called ‘Super ovulation”. This means that changing your normal hormonal levels in your ovaries will be produced more then one (as it is normal) eggs – so chances to conceive improves.
There are few things to do before taking clomid.
1. Check normal hormonal levels (amenorrhea profile)
2. Check husbands sperm count and morphology (semen analisys)
3. Salpinography (X-ray check for any blockage in ovarian tubes)
4. Ultrasound tracking after starting the medicine (at least 2 times)

There is 5 to 8 % increased chance of getting multiple pregnancy while using Clomid. You should have this in mind too.

* possibilities on you
* possibility on your partner ( i would suggest to do that before you go with clomid )


there are few side effects but experts say that taking it for more than 2 cycle has issues but seems to be safe , chances are there for twins when more than one egg gets fertile using clomid :thumbsup

I am already on 50 mg as per doctor's prescription... And all the necessary tests have been done for both me and my husband...
I wanted to know if anyone had success with clomid... And also there experience...
