    Hi friends,

I and my husband will be travelling from India to MN in Jan-Feb 2011 for employment - assignment from Indian company.

Since this will be our first trip to US, I would need tips on all aspects like:

    1) Looking for an apartment that will be commutable to office
    - He will work in Shoreview and I will work in Minneapolis
    2) Is it a better option to learn driving in India & obtain a license or is it better to learn driving there? Neither of us has ever driven before!
    3) Type of winter clothes to carry (where to buy) and those that can be bought in MN
    4) Any tips on medicines and food (we are vegetarians)

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Commutation is good in Minneapolis. You can check for bus details on site http://metrotransit.org/schedules.
2.Driving is easy in US , as cars are gearless. So even if you do not get time in India to learn , it is fine.
    3. Minnesota is known for its winter. so plan accordingly. Anyways you get good winter clothings for this harsh winter here also.
3.In MN , there are few indian grocery stores - TBS , Patel , Pooja grocers. You get everything there - all indian grocery stuff).. no need to worry..
