    Thulasi kalyanam is performed every year only in the month of Karthigai sukla paksha dwadasi.

    Yesterday was Sukla paksha dwadasi and hence thulasi pooja was performed.

    Regarding lighting of Diyas you can do it on Karthigai Deepam.

    its gr8:banana ...you have well arranged there for the puja...attractive nd wonderful :)....here we had also performed the thulasi puja(in the courtyard) but we cudnt enjoy fully due to the heavy rain...bcoz of the rain we lit just 4 diyas only in corners:rant...

    We too will celebrate it only in courtyard. But due to rain I could not do there so I have done it in pooja room itself.
