WLC- Dance away the pounds 22nd - 28th November

    Dear All,

    This week is a dance challenge. I am not a dancer myself but few days back I joined a class in the gym. They played loud music and most of the time they were making us swing our hands. I was sweating like hell after that class. It was so much fun. Dance is a great form of exercise but most of us don't look at it that way.

    Most of us feel shy and awkward to shake a leg or two.

    When was the last time you swayed on a tune without bothering if anyone was looking at you or not. Without feeling awkward and shy.

    So take this challenge to get into the dancing groove. You can either dance with your kids or in your bedroom behind the close doors or in the bathroom. If you cannot move your legs then just use the hands movements shown in the videos below.

    Challenge is to do it everyday for a week in addition to your daily exercise.

    Basic - 5 minutes - 1 song

    Mid level - 10 minutes - 2 songs

    Advanced (You rock) - 15 minutes - 3 songs.

    Remember, the break between 2 dances is just for 1 minutes and you should sweat. You should start reporting the level of the challenge that you completed on this same thread from 22nd. Try to reach the advance level.

    The challenge will start on 22nd November and will run for a week. So, practice your move and choose your songs.

    Discuss on the WLC preparation thread about your plans for this challenge.

    To register please give your name before 22nd November on this thread.

    Note : Volunteers can take the excel list from the WLC thread and then edit it. On 22nd they have to post the list of the members who registered for the challenge and on 28th they have to post back the compiled list of the members who met the challenge. They also need to buck up the challengers as well.

    Note : Sumshru has offered to Volunteer for this challenge. Sumshru please let me know if you are comfortable with this.

    Hey Shiva,

    Thats a great challenge. Very nice. A creative way to lose weight...And I am all the more excited as I love dancing. The fact is that everyone loves dancing. You are right, its just that we feel awkward to shake our legs.

    I am in for this amazing challenge. And hoping to lose a kilo as well with this challenge..

    as usual a good motivator you are. after diet it is now dances - a source of exerices. your heading was little confusing for a moment i thought is it VLC and then i realised no it is weight loss clinic. when you talked about the xcel sheets i thought you might have incorporated some routine. thanks dear to bring all people together who have this problem. i pray to god to give you all the strength to support you on this cause. all the best dear.

    Can i join , i was little out of track in my diet even though i do exercise... so for a change i would like to join this... sounds very interesting...
