    Mind blowing photographs yaar, and so well you have described the festival in sequence and the photos. My curious eyes were searching for you, but you disappointed them by mentioning you are not there in any of the photographs.

    For me the whole concept is new, as I do not have Telegu friends.

    Somehow just now checked this thread. took me through memory lane. bodemmas, jataras..when i was a kid. not understanding the language but participating. later learning the language brought real meaning to these jataras and bathukamma festival.

    I love to be behind the lens than to be before it:-D . This time I had enjoyed taking the pictures but was itching to paritcipate in the dance more.... don't trust anyone with my camera (my DH included) It shares the same sanctity as my wallet/purse.

    Yes all the kids were looking cute all dressed up in thei indian clothes. I especially couldn't take my eyes and camera off of that little one(baby) in pattulanga, she reminded me so much of my own daughter at that age.

    I always love looking at your dancing Boo.......:tongue
    But yesterday it wasn't dancing believe me, may be something to do with the load of visitors / a glitch ...dunno

    Not all Andhraites / Telugu's celebrate this Bathukamma. It is a very regional celebration and that too celebrated with fervor in the rural / agricultural communities.
