Hi Su, Thanks for your instruction. It will be really helpful for the beginners. I have done few paintings, but haven't learn it from anyone. So I have a doubt, I Will be glad if could clarify it. You have mentioned to use " brush 0 " for the stones and to color (golden color) Jewels. Which brush type should be for body and flowers?

 

Question on Stone paints

Hi all,
I'm a new member at IL. This tutorial on Tanjore glass painting is very informative.

I have a question on the Stone colors/ paints mentioned in the instructions. I live in NY currently and tried looking for these paints in the Art stores here but found nothing that seems to match the purpose. Is anyone of you familiar with where and under what name can these paints can be obtained in the US? If not, then can Stained Glass paint be used in place of these paints for the Stones since it gives a similar effect?
