    not even home,made bajji,bondas

He has been prescribed to have IRON TONIC and tablets, but this guy, have phobia for medicines , iam in pitiable position

    Hi Lata,
For tackling the haemoglobin problem , you could try to include greens like spinach, methi in his diet. Greens absorb more iron if cooked in an iron vessel.
Again if he is not too fond of veggies , you could prepare rice with spinach/methi rice or alternatively spinach soup or methi thepla or palak roti.
You could also give him carrot (salad carrots) and beet juice/beetroot raita
Apples and black raisins too help in restoring iron level.
I too was anaemic, and bel me this all really helps.
    Take Care,

    -Janhavi

    hi lata,
    What is his height....

Dont worry. stop giving him all these junk food.

Try to give him milk with date syrup instead of any malted drinks....

    Dear latha
It is easy to say that try with this and that but children will not eat . we cannot leave them ,we have to try our best . here some tips which old age people at homes will say the following tips, if possible try .
    1. In a hot rice pour some milk and keep it for curd in the night u do and next day early morning give that curd rice to u r kid. No one should see while kid taking this curd rice. by taking this rice kid's blood will improve. good for digestion . his memory power will also improves.
    2. Try to give him items which will combine milk and jaggery like payasam, aaresalu in telugu ,murrukkulu which are old snack items but good for health.
    3. carrot halwa, beet root curry ,beet root halwa will also help him.
    4. vegetable soups. all the best.
    regards
    chidambari

    Hi latha
Our ILS have already given wonderful suggestions
Vitamin c helps to absorb more iron..so make sure u'r kids diet includes lotta fruits and veggies..
If he doesnt like spinach, make him spinack kebabs(roasted on a tava with 2 tsp of oil)
Reg his obesity--make sure he has atleast 1 hr of physical activity..Reduce his tv timings..avoid fast food altogether..try o make him undesrtand that fastfoods r not gud..Im sure he'll understand..Cuz kids nowadays r very chutti
    cheers
    Ramya

    hi latha,

He is obviously overweight. put him on a excercise regime. just dont allow him some junk food. be strict...there is no harm...if there is hereditary problems like diabetes, heart condition... you learn to be strict..it is obviously for your baby's own good... I am talking from experience. my son is not overweight because of his height 5.2' but for his age he is overweight he 42kgs. we want him to be healthy.

    all the best.
