Do you want to know on which TV channel? Oh, no! During my visit to US myi
d-i-l used to arrange get-togethers. Her friends are all fun loving people. We used to play games also. We used to play hand ball and even cricket. I told that I never even touched a cricket bat. But they were adament that I also should join. And Lo! I was clean bowled at the very first ball. But at the target game I scored more points than all my team mates and so we won.
I have to rake my brain to prepare questions for the ' Made for each other.' Of course for the quiz programme I took the help of Internet. Really it was fun to have such get-togethers. Anthakshari also was always there.
Both my son and d-i-l are very outgoing and enterprising persons. They have also arranged for a programme at my grandson's school. We conducted a programme about India. We had presented powerpoint programme. In the class studens were all free and some were sitting and some were even lying down. After the presentation we had a question answer session also. Students had shown interest and asked questions. Really it was an wonderful experience for us. We had given the children picture post cards, sticker pottu and hair pins. They all loved it. The teachers also were very much involved and they too asked questions. I still cherish those memories.

    Dear Pushpavalli Srinivasan,

Wow. Your activities speak volumes of your interest, strength and involvement. My request is for you to start some of the activities like quiz on India here in IL. The Brain Teasers game I started is going well and more and more ILites are joining in. I think I have to change the format to encourage more participation.

When I was in Melbourne, Australia we used to have what are called 'Trivia night' programs. These used to be arranged in schools in the evenings and the participants used to sit around in tables and each table was a team. We also took our dinner items and spread in the table. Since they found in my lab. that I am a cricket buff, they used to invite me to these Trivia Nights to answer questions on cricket. It was tremendously enjoyable.

    Regards,

    TDU

    Dear Pushpa Ma'am,

It is nice to see your energetic participation in IL and outside. Your garden flowers, kolams and anecdotes have always been interesting.

    Dear TDU,
Thanks a lot for your encouraging reply. Lots of youngsters with more knowledge have become ILite members. In fact you have got more knowledge than me and I really love to read your articles. I feel like watching the youngsters bubbling with energy to take over and I want to enjoy articles and games anchored by them. I find it diffiult to go through all segments of posting due to lack of time. Yet I think over your suggestion. Thank you once again,
    Love,
    Pushpavalli

    Dear Nivedi,
Thank you very much for your appreciation. In brief I would say that I am trying to be a Jack of all trades and master of none.
