Though it's not romantic to others but for me...choice is “a farewell to arms".........when the lady is in tough time...in labor.......man helps her relax to do the job ..the loveliest moment for every women that her spouse supported her. This old book teaches humanism.....love......taking care......comfort partner...n lots of emotion.

    Hi,

It would be 'Bridges across Madison County' for me! It is touching to read about the children of the main character understand and honour her love, once they come to know of it!

    Cheers,

    Sumathy

Love is the main theme because this whole book is based upon love and its many aspects. He makes the whole relationship so simple and pure somehow. You fall in love with not only the book but with Oliver and Jenny... the main characters who are from different socio-economic backgrounds; the heart and soul of the book...so i have answered your question...it is a single story revolving around these two.
