    AMITABH – GREED FOR MONEY

Today i received the Week and Outlook, and both have articles of Amitabh Bacchhan and his land deals in UP and Maharashtra. And with his choice of friends and his politcal choices, he seems to be in trouble. Now the Centre (Sonia Gandhi),and the State (Mayawati) have joined hands and are after him,and unearthing the skeletons in his cupboard.

this was bound to happen.Amitabh loves to court conroversies these days.He made an enemy with Mukesh Ambani, when he sided Anil, with Sonia and Mayawati, when he sided Mulayam Singh.Correct me if i am wrong, but i had read somewhere that Amitabh's file was for 10 years with one IT officer, and no one was allowed to look into it.This was druing the Rajiv Gandhi days, when the two ,The Raja and the Rank were great friends.Today all his files are being opened. And i suppose his goggles of 3 lakhs too will come out in the glare literally.

I am not able to understand Amitabh. He has so much money, name and fame.He and his few generations can live comfortably with the money he has hoarded, and he is still busy. Then why is he indulging in all these forged documents to prove himself to be a farmer.Today a farmer is ashamed to call himself one,and they are moving into other fields, selling off their lands. And this famous movie actor want sot be known as a Farmer ?Just to get the Lonavala land alloted at a fraction of a cost ?And court controverises,of which he has no need of.

Amitabh is 66 now,and his health is lousy. He can collapse anytime, and it can prove fatal. He has a hoard of diseases. He has already earned name and fame, and has plenty in the bank and the farms. Why does he want to work like a dog? for a few dollors more ?Today can Amitabh afford to take his grandchild, and go off for a month holdiay to Orlando, without making or receiving a call from anyone ? I doubt it.

They say Health is Wealth, and in that case,Touch wood, Most of us I lites are richer than Amitabh. We have the time to share a cup of tea with our spouses, talk to our children, have trustworthy friends, unlike the group he has.I shudder to think what he shares in common with those creeps he calls friends. But who knows, like Roopa, this could be some andar ki baat.

Amitabhi is in the fast lane, too fast for his own good. His health being fragile, he can collapse anytime with tension and worry, and this time he may not be so lucky as the last time.I wish he would slow down, cut off acting in movies or ads, and just sit at home and count his money, and cut off controversial contacts. And make peace with his past friends. And tell Abhi ash to make babies,so he can play with his grandkids. You dont grow old by retiring, u grow old bcs of yr thoughts. And maybe he could join Sulekha, and be blogging with us mortals.

I heard that for an Advt for which he shot last year, he was paid 10 crores, that’s 1 crore a day.Just imagine how tense Amitabh may get if he gets constipation, and he has to spend more time on the pot of clay, than on the pot of Gold.Time lost is money lost, and maybe he could be wishing instead that if have to get sick, then better loose motions,so that I am free the next few days, and save my time doing productive Advts.

Amitabh is in the rat race, running for what, even he dosnt know. For money? He has plenty. For fame, oh so much he has, to prove a point ? well he has.If you are racing all the time, without resting, u will soon collapse and die on the field itself.Take it easy,AB Baby.

And do u know , who runs in the Rat Race.Your guess is as good as mine.Amen

Mahatma gandhi said earth provides for every man but not every man's greed.

    Hi Kamalji,

Well said but who will bell the cat..........
People should understand that they are not going to eat gold even if they have an equal amount of gold as grain, finally they have to eat some rice and daal...so why spending yourself for some invaluable things.
Money at the cost of hard work (for a stipulated time frame say for 8-10 hrs per day) is good but at the cost of time is greed......
Wish people could get this much sense from your articles.
Btw, Kamalji, now you have posted this article in IL, but u forgot to change the sulekha tag..........so, we are getting all the oldies from you nothing is fresh/new for ILites.......................just kidding
    Old is Gold anyways.
    Regards.

    Hi Kamal Ji

This is so true for Amitabh Bachhan... i've somehow developed a dislike for him in past few years... i mean being such a big icon he is selling chocolates se lekar mobile phone.. what the hell.. i mean look at him, have some diginity man... and the kinda popularity he enjoys he should engage himself into some sort of social cause... doing polio campaign alone isnt good enough...

I saw the Koffe with karan which featured Richard Gere... when asked what would be his organisation doing 10 years from now.. would it still be working for AIDS... his answer was "10 years from now we would have sorted out the problem of AIDS and would take up another issue like Kashmir conflict" me and my hubby were totally stunned by Richard's reply... a hollywood actor can think on such lines for our country... and these people like Amitabh bachhan and Aishwarya and Sushmita are really good for nothing... except doing commercials and having affairs every now and then... they havent thought anything else in their life.

Its high time people realise how important it is to understand where our country is going and such huge stars should understand their social responsibilities.

    ~Abha

True Kamalji, health is wealth. In pursuit of wealth, a lot of other things in life get lost.

In India, we have an old lady in our neighbourhood. She does house work in many of the houses in my neighbourhood. She has a large family all living in nearby streets. Every time there is a festivity, I would see a lot of people in her home (which was just a single room) - all laughing and making merry. It was a pleasure just to watch them be happy. I would wonder how many rich folks have that kind of joy in their lives. In chasing money, everything else becomes secondary, especially relationships. The more you have, the more you want.

    Nivediji,

I agree.Where is happiness linked with money.Like the old lady u talk of, she has happiness with her relatives and friends.

As they say, have enough money to keep u warm, not so much so as to burn u.

    wish people would learn.Regards.kamal

    Abhaji,

You may be surprised to know, why Amitabh did the polio Ads.His ABCL had to pay 17 crores to DD, which he did not, and this money was adjsuted for his doing polio.

so that means he has charged for the polio Advts.Thats how cheap these people can get.

I personally cant respect such people.Gere is right.Look at Bill gates and Warren buffet, donating their money.Nothign wrong in making money, and keeping yr family comfortable, but after a certain amount, money has no value.why not help the downtrodden.

    Thanks.kamal

There was a king who had 4 wives

He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day
she would leave him for another.

He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confidante and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her to help him get through the difficult times.

The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.

One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short.

He thought of his luxurious life and pondered, "I now have 4 wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone.
Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I have loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?"

"No way!" replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word.

Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart.

The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?"

"No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good!
When you die, I'm going to remarry!"

His heart sank and turned cold.

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me
    and keep me company?"

"I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!" replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave."

Her answer came like a bolt of thunder and the King was devastated.

    Then a voice called out:
"I'll leave with you and follow you no matter where you go." The King looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny,
    she suffered from malnutrition.
Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!"

In Truth, we all have 4 wives in our lives ...
Our 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when we die.

Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth.
When we die, it will all go to others.

Our 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

And our 1st wife is our Soul,

often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the ego.
However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go.

Have you ever thought where will your soul live forever, after your death?
    Hell or Heaven

What does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul!
