A spellbinding book with the best climax ever...:thumbsup

I think here the author has left the answer to question whether ashley was cured or not to the readers...If you want a happy ending, you can conclude that since all the three personalities have converged into one (there is one scene where the doctor says the other 2 personalities can continue their singing and piano). If you want a thriller end, you can conclude that Toni is out still there...Its all about how we want to perceive...

    Dear Suzanne,
finished the book long time back, waiting for other members to post their comments.regarding Toni - she is like a shadow who will be part of Ashley and will not leave her - say some sort of a phenoix bird- who will rise again. i think she is following the hindu dharma - i am within oneself

Sorry friends, I have been out of town.
I am back and its so wonderful to see so many of you have finished the book.!

So, Tell me your dreams proves to one successful novel, which only makes Sidney Sheldon to be loved by his readers more.Taking on issues of Multiple personality disorder and child abuse, this book unfolds in a stimulating way by describing the live of 3 young women - each with different hobbies, styles and way of living yet with a deadly secret.

You know guys, Toni has really been very cunning throughout the book, she has been a very bold and outgoing and independent women. If she was for real, I might have liked her (minus the murderer). Really, she has been one-head-strong person from the start.

SS has really written the stuff so well, when the secrets slowly come on out - they just gave me some jolt. Ofcourse, I too was stuck with the same question WHY? why was she killing men, till all was revealed - which was shocking in itself.and then the last part really leaves us stumped!

What I think is that the other 2 personalities have not died out, they are still inside Ashley because really, the personalities have been created because of the troubles in Ashley's lives - they came into existence because Ashley was mentally suffering then - so really the qualities are those that Ashley posses and I cant imagine she loosing all the traits so easily.

Or, I think Toni has been cunning (like always) and hidden so that the doctor also couldn't detect her. Suzanne, has also pointed out that.

    What do you guys think?

P.S : I will have the polls for the next month ready.

    Dear Gayathiri and Nityakalyani

The pharase below shows that Ashley is not cured properly. As you can see before every murder she would sing this song.

    she began to sing
    softly:
    "All around the mulberry bush,
    The monkey chased the weasel.
The monkey thought 'twas oil in fun,
    Pop! goes the weasel...."

    Luv,
    Suzanne

    Yeah, that song..
I liked these throughout as well - Toni constructs so many of them.

Do you think MPD exists really and can be cured?
