Dear Gayathri, Thanks for a very quick F B. As we proceed further, all your questions will get answers. Next week it is likely, that I will post on "why should we act?". That is the answer to Arjuna type people when we get into the dejected mood. It will be (hopefully) a connecting link between first & second chapters. Love, Chithra.
Dear Chithra Thanks again for writing here for us. i am grateful to god that you are doing this. I was online yesterday when you posted so i have been reading since then. It ofcourse takes time. also it helps to go back and forth between the two threads. When I am reading your article , for some reason, I remember the lines from Ramana Mahrishi's words, books etc. He gives explanations on an intellectual level though he appears to have been of few words (unfortunately) for us. When I read Ramakrishna's words he gives simple explanations for lay people like me. I'm glad your words make remember what I read so it makes everything seem related. Thank you very much.
Dear AC, Thankyou for your post. I am capable of explaining only in simple words - my scope is not beyond that ! It is worth taking time to go back & forth between related threads. That way, the understanding is better. Love To Chitra From Chithra.
Dear chitra mam, So to sum up Atma and anatma, are two separate entities. They have not become one, but are attached to each other in our illusion... Good example of the pot..:2thumbsup:
Dear Shanti, Yes, Atma & anatma are 2 separate entities. The pot example explains it the best. Thanks for joining us here. Love, Chithra.
Dear Mrs. Chith, Thank you once again for your post. I think it has come at the right time because we are not yet come out of our loss of our pet, this Sunday. Reading what 'atma' clears some of the doubts we had at that time of our loss. Sriniketan
I was eagerly waiting for this post. Death has nothing to do with the Atma. Atma has just left this home and has entered another one. Nice Post, Chits, good work. I love your dedication towards whatever you do. You are simply marvellous, its only because your Atma is enjoying Purity.
Dear Bhargavi, Yes, we identify with death or loss as we call the same, when we go through the same. But, yes, remember Atma continues to exist & is imperishable. Thanks for joining this thread. Love, Chith.
Dear Mals, Your second paragraph conveys in a nutshell, what I have conveyed in 2 posts ! So much for brevity !! Well, you call my attitude dedication - V is likely to call the same obsession ! Love, Chits.
Dear Chithra, You are really blessed. It needs some motivation to read Vedanta and understand. It needs much much more than that and a lot of dedication to read and reproduce it. And you seem to do that with so much ease. Your words may 'appear' to be simple, but it is obvious that the effort behind it could not have been that simple. I read this a couple of times and plan to read all of it often. As one lives and experiences life, this knowledge will make that life worthwhile. When I am able to access such treasure, thanks to you, with ease.... it will be my loss if I do not make the best use of it. Need I add that it was beautifully written ?! L, Kamla
