Yes, they should. They will place your kids in the right grade based on their age. The grade they are already in or have completed does not really matter before high school - I think age is the important factor. Classes here mostly end in June so your kids will have plenty of time to catch up.

Hi Srilatha! I've been busy so I could not reply to your post earlier.

Don't make your decisions solely based on my advice but I can offer you my opinion based on what I know. We have had extremely cold winters but for the past couple of years, the weather during the winter has been OK. Due to recession, the past year was very bad for employment but the economy is recovering now and more jobs are starting to become available. I don't know much about the job outlook for teachers but If you are planning on finding jobs in the profession, I can only tell you that classes here resume in September so you might want to come at least 6-8 months before september so you can settle down and possibly look for jobs.

If your kids are under 15, i.e. they are going to be in grade 8 or lower, then yes they can start mid-school year. IF they are older and going into grade 9 or above, then there are usually two semesters here. One that starts in september and one in January, your kids can enrol into the January semester if they arrive late.

Whether or not you should arive as a family, I can't really say.. that's a decision you should make with your husband and family. There will be a lot of adjustments to make if you do not have any relatives here and your hubby might find it difficult to do everything all by himself.

    Hope I helped.
