Chitraa....this is so neat. I think it is also a good idea to share how we got to posess it, do it etc.I have wanted to start something like this for quite sometime now - thanks for taking the initiative.

Let me go first. Here is a picture of some photo frames I joined together - I love the idea because the number of frames can vary and you can constantly change what's inside, also you can get creative and do different shapes with the frames to fit the space you are looking to fill. Mine was narrow wall in a room, so I have used 6 frames vertically. It is also quite inexpensive. All I used is some beads that i already had, thread and some nails with loops that can be fitted into the picture frame. And oh the photos inside are actually coasters :thumbsup

Same pinch, I have a 3 tier of the same, and i rotate photos of my kids in that.:cheers. it is too old, now seeing yours i am planning to sand it and paint it again.

what type of rope did you use. mine has a very thick jute rope that has aged..

 

Shanthi, I have just used the regular craft ribbon!!! The picture frames are not too heavy since the back of them has only card board and the frame itself is very light. I have just strung beads on the ribbon. Infact, I originally made it pictures but the length and location made me use coasters instead !
