    Hi Preethi
Are you here on your own or with family
Are you married to a local
Are you allowed to work here without a work permit
Jobs are aplenty if you have the qualifications but I think you should find out the proper procedure for a foreigner to work here
Please find out before you go job hunting
Sorry if I have pricked your bubble

    Hi

Thanks for your consideration and reply..

I am married to a local, yeah thats y i have cum here..

and regarding work permit : i can get permitted if i get offer letter from any company.. but the problem is wherever i apply, they call for interview etc.. bt finally they say, they wil give offer if i have permit..

Hope u understand,, immigration wants job offer first then they wil give permit
whereas, companies want permit first, then they wil give job offer..

I am confused as to what to do..

    Please help friends.....

    Hi there...

Its strange fr companies to ask for permit before they hire you.
The procedure is to get a job here in Malaysia, thn apply fr a permit.
This procedure is same fr few other asian countries, as far as i know.

I feel the company is not aware of the procedure. Is there a country where we get the permit first before applying fr job? strange!

I have worked wit many call centers in KL...ex: Axon, EDS..etc.. and ive seen many married foreigner work thr. Thy got the job and then the company will help thm to apply fr a permit. It wil b a simple procedure because ur married to a malaysian. If you wil be interested, do let me know. Same thng happened to me when i wanted to work in Singapore, I got married there. Get a job, thn apply fr permit.

    Hi Priya,

I am happy to see your reply.

I just completed my studies in India this May 2010..

I have done MBA (Human Resource & Marketing) and B.Tech (Information Technology) .. All this is with First Class and Distiction..

I am really really frustrated here because all the companies are not willing to hire me because I am a foreigner..

I feel that ''what is the use of studying when I cant even get a small work also here?''... Please help me.. In the current situation, I am ready to go for any work..

I tried call centers also, they said that they will hire only Malaysian citizens..

Please help.. Really looking fwd for help..

    Regards
    Preethi

Even if you are married to a Malaysian, they will not give you a job. It is very difficult to get a job in Malaysia, they dont like foreigners who are not tourist

There are many MBA's out there as well as many grads with IT degree who are Malaysians. Besides immigration will not give a work permit without an offer from the company even if the have the spouse program. So getting a job in Malaysia is almost impossible, unless you have a friend who is willling to give you an offer. So chances of getting a job in Malaysia in almost zero, that is the bitter truth.
