Do You Beleive In Rahu Kalam

:iagree with you but I dont know whether I believe in that since i had never tried of following or violating it.

I had seen my cousins mom in law will not even grind Idli or dosa batter , even gonna mills for grinding chillies or sambar powder during rahu kalam.......... there are so many things she follows like that by which one would go really mad..... Im not opposing but there shud be a limit...........

I had read somewhere that in those days in busy schedule throughout the day for a human there shud be a particular time alloted for worshiping god..... if someone tells dont do anything now its time for your prayer many may come out wih excuses like they will do it later or they have an important thing to do........

I you say that you are not supposed to do anything important during that period of time if you do the results wont be fruitfull obviously nobody dares to do........ so if you dont have any other important thing why dont you spend that time in poojas and prayers..............

lighting lamp in rahu kalam or doing any pooja during rahu kalam has more powerful than doing the same in any other time period of the day... you can even see the rush on fridays during rahukalam in durga temple for lighting lamp.........

may be......... this is just my opinion from the knowledge gained from elders..........

I do not see Rahukalam for routine jobs, but for the special ones. My DH does not believe in Rahukalam. He also advices me often not to follow. One day, when we were shopping, I came across a very beautiful 'ladies' watch. My DH wanted to buy that for me. I told him we could buy it later cos it's rahukalam. My DH forced me and we bought it. After fifteen days, while I was going on a scooter with my husband, the watch fell down and got smashed by a car ( in front of our eyes). I felt very bad. My DH said it was a coincidence. But I do not want to take a risk. So I do follow for special occassions. My dad follows rahukalam and I got it from him.

I am an astrologer. so rahu kalam, dur muhurtha, shubh muhurta are all very important to me and my clients.

 

I do follow Raghukaalam on and off and i don't want to be guilty after that.
Here on Monday the school starts at 8 and how can i tell them not to get ready at 7.30--it is not possible like wise many instances where we cannot follow those beliefs.
During those times i tell myself everyday and every minute is God's gift to us and go on as usual.
But when necessary i do follow my own belief, don't want to impose on others.

Though i know, I am not particular about it. I never looked into it while joining for a new job. Wherever i rendered service, i didn't face any problem at all. infact my releiving so far was also smooth. I had a wonderful working environment and experiences. RAHU KALAM CHART in an easy remembering way.

JUST remember the following sentence:

MOTHER- SAW- FATHER- WEARING- TURBAN- TO- SUN
MON, SAT, FRIDAY, WEDNES, THURS, TUES, SUNDAY.
07.30-9, 9-10.30, 10.30-12, 12-1.30, 1.30 -3, 3-4.30, 4.30 -6

Rahu kalam lasts for 1.5 hourseveryday, starting from 07.30am to 6 pm the days are as mentioned above.

We used to believe RAHU KALAM when we were brought that way. After having Surrendered ourselves to SHIRDI SAI BABA following his path, we have realised that may be some reasons our elders have followed, but if you have a positive thought time does not matter.

What has to happen is already determined and we are not the actual DOERS is my opinion out of experience.

Though i want to know during that 1:30 hr of rahu kalam daily what should be avoided?
As in should not start something new......:spin

i truly agree ,we should do our karma without the fear of result, but i do believe in "we are liable for our own sufferings " .:drowning

Hi all,

All these timings are based on the sun rise timings of that day. Hence, its simply not 7:30 to 9am all the days! There could be a variance of 10-20 mins. There are specific sites who accurately tell when such timings are specific to a day as per the sun rise.
