Even today we indians suffer because of the age old traditions and customs laid down
but still there is an opening so do not worry
time is still to come for ur sister to get a suitable groom do u think a person who rejected her due to ur own marriage is a suitable groom ?? No so just dont worry .
I would suggest you to start searching a nice groom for her and take the pain of settling a nice match for her on ur shoulders and releive ur mom from tht botheration.
surely you wil find one i remember there was a indus matrimony which somebody started on this site also if u dont mind giving the details of ur sister maybe some of our indus ladies wud also try to find suitable person according to ur choice .
we are all there with you do not worry and above all of us god is there

most people survive making other people guilty.every body comes to this world with their baggage. no body will be responsible for incidences occuring in somebody s life, pl think can you stop things or can you makethings happen, when there is nothing you could do why feel bad.

after going thru ur posts, i feel u and ur mom are unncessarily being worried and taking the blame on ur head for the delay in sisters marriage.
AS said, everything will happen when its bound to happen and nobody can stop or make it happen.

As far as present generation is concerned, majority of the people are very broad minded and r not concerned about the girls siblings life. and now a days intercaste marriage has become quite common . i guess time is yet to come for ur sis marriage. Just keep trust in god and everyting will fall on its own place.

As far as ur mom is concerned, she is just showing her frustration nothing else don't take it very much to ur heart.

It is a very late reply from my side. I am a new member i came across and wanted to reply.

Do NOT WORRY. I also had a love marriage aainst my parents wishes. Even we are searching for a groom for my sister. The problem is my younger sister is polio handicapped and we are not getting any alliance, even if we get it will be like some heart problem guy, etc. So we are frustrated. Do not worry in this generation inter caste marriage has become part and parcel of the society. So dont feel guilty. Whatever has to happen will happen when the time comes.

So stop worrying who is the reason, top feeling guilty. I am married for 6 years now and have a 3 yr old daughter. Both side parents had to agree after our marriage.
