Hi I always have a doubt in my mind.. I have completed M.Sc in IT and MBA.. And working for IT for 3 years. In future If I opt to go to a lecturer job.. Will my work experience count?Or will i be a fresher there?
Hi Pretty-na , As far as I know, you will be a fresher. But wait to hear from someone with firsthand information. So you are interested in teaching, huh?! :coffee
Hello False - na, Hmm thanks for your first rep.. I have heard some friends saying that its counted some say not so had a doubt.. Nahhh I just hate teaching..But i dont know wheather its my perception or imposed on me..that teaching is manageable and suitable after a family setup.. So that one can concentrate on work + home 100%,holidays,work timings are less compared to office, stressfree blah blah blah:crazy... to tackle everything skillfully trying to skip in future,if God wills..
Hi Prettina, your work experience in IT company will not be counted. If you apply in a degree collage then you need to appear for NET exam in computer science/IT subjects for a permanent post of lecturer. where as in Engg. colleges NET is not required. As you have an MBA so you can apply in management colleges too. there your work ex may be counted A lot many choices ....
as far as i heard, if freshers are getting 10 k...if a person have industrial experience, then they will be given 15k...this i m saying in engg colleges.... I have seen people getting 15k with industrial experience.
As deepd rightly said , U'r MBA degree may fetch u a lecturer job in the Management institutes where they may take u'r exp in account. Whereas , just an M.SC IT will not fetch a job in engineering/arts colleges . You need to write u'r NET/SLET exams and complete u'r M.Phil or Ph.D.
hey ubellah, Thanks for your suggestions... M.Phil is what i wanted to do..but distance education in M.Phil has been banned... Regular not at all possible for me now.... Please let me know if any university offers M.Phil
hmmm degree college if its UGC pay right... There are many private colleges also nahh..There also is NET a must? Management ahhh hmm not much interested to go there...
Pretty gal, Howz you doing? Ok coming to the point..The present rule..let it be an MBA/MCA/M.Phil or some other big sized masters nothing is gonna work out.We need a NET/SLET to get employed in a college.M.Phil is gonna be an added advantage but not the main criteria. And definitely IT experience cannot be counted for teaching profession or vis-a-vis. So get ready for NET preparation.:cheers
