Pattis are best to handle this. The child is then Patti potty trained.
Nine months seems too young. though.

    Hi Goka,

I had bought a plastic potty trainer (it has a back support and on placing the lid,it becomes a small chair) for my DD when she was 6 months and started training her since her 7th month(after she started to sit on the floor without any support)...no issues till now...we dont even have to catch her..just need to sit near to her just in case if she falls..

whenever we feels she want to pass stools(by looking at her face reactions),we make her sit on it and once she is done, she herself will start showing signs that she needs to get up...

According to me , its not too early for your LO to start with the potty...Once your LO is able to sit without any support or can sit for sometime, u can start with the potty traing...It does take time for them to adjust to the potty trainer ...In order to make them sit, maybe u can buy the potty which is comfortable for them to sit or maybe some colorful potty like which has different shape and bright colours (i had seen potty's which look like swan and the baby can sit by himself/herself by catching the rods placed near the head)

    All the best!!!!

goka,my DD is not potty trained though but she trained herself!
with all the rolling and crawling we ended up putting our mattress on the floor...so in the morning wenever she woke up she wld step down the mattress and go in the corner of the room and potty or pee... we kept watching her do this for good 1 wk, so we got her a potty seat.every morning we sit her on it, and she poops.but that is it. we havent really tried to potty train her as such.she herself likes to now do her morning poop in the potty seat!

My 9months old wont sit on potty, but does the job, sitting on our legs. We take him to bathroom every morning and after all naps, to pee there. 80% he does, 20% no. Its all about the child's readiness.
