I am sure that we all will have some thing funny to remember during the school era of our children. I took care of the schooling of my children. Luckily both my sons were very brilliant in their studies but my first son used to do some funny things now and then during his school days.

After every exams I always used to sit with them to discuss the question papers. On one such day my son came from the school after finishing his maths exam and handed over me two sheets of paper and told me proudly, “ amma, you don’t have to ask me anything about how I did my exams. There is the details for you”. I was shocked and asked whether this was the second copy. He coolly said , No amma, this time I did the work separately in this sheets and first three sheets I put the question nos, ways and answers correctly”. I rushed to the school to meet the maths teacher ( it was <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />FACT Colony School ) but she refused to take the sheets since it is not legal. When the marks came, the teacher just cut all the answers and gave random 50 marks out of hundred means he lost 50 marks in that test alone. There was a custom of giving proficiency award to the student in every standard who stood first on all the monthly and final exams. My son got for the consecutive three years and ofcourse missed the fourth one just because of the blunder he made on the maths exam.

One day we got a new readers digest book and me and my genious started looking into that. I taught him how to play words building from that and we enjoyed. Next day was
His Malayalam exam and they asked a question to write five sentences about Vimaanam ( plane ) . He misunderstood that for five words and remembered the previous days play.
Very happily he wrote five words using the letters from the word VIMAANAM. Even now I used to tease him for this.

Another time in his first standard, there was a question asked, which is the costliest mode of transportation or traveling. He wrote as train and argued to us that train is much bigger than plane and so how come plane travel is the costliest. There are more but I penned down just what came to my mind.

I am sure you all will have to say something about your children too.

Dear Ganga,
I could not control my laughter seeing ( reading ) your DS's brilliance and innocence !!! So cute ! We mothers get greater enjoyment seeing our kid doing enjoyable things !!! There are so many from my side . But here I want to share one incident which till now is green in my memory .
My second son, when he was 4years old took part in the fancy dress competition. Being a great fan of Mahakavi Bharathi, I dressed him like Bharathiyar and taught him to say " Achchamillai Achchamillai Achcham enbhadhillaiye ". The D day came. When my son's turn came he went on the stage. I became nervous seeing him standing there without uttering a word. But with so much confidence he walked on the stage. The time was out so he came back and began to cry that he wanted to go again and recite what I taught. Though it is against the rule I requested the authority and they obliged saying prize would not be given since he failed in his first attempt. This time to everybody's astonishment, he acted and recited like a true Kavi!!! Poor boy ! Even to day we used to tease him quoting this incident!!!
with love

really so cute your little genius is ,ganges. I can imagine your reaction at the math paper.:)
my mother underwent the same once when my brother answered only one side of his math paper.he forgot to see the back side and came home in half hour saying that the paper was very easy .:biglaugh .
once i was talking about the advantages of reiki which my chithi practises religiously and will always do for any of us if we complain of pains.my daughter all of ten very seriously thought about it for sometime and said "ask chithi to do it for my exams no, then I needn't study":biglaugh

dear pads
that was lovely. Oh, poor boy. the authorities should definitely consider him if he performed well. I can imagine a smaal bharathiar standing there just looking at the audience. suddenly he got the courage to perform as the real Bharathiayar I think. So cute na? thanks pads.
