hi friends, let us discuss the moviating factors behind returning to India. to begin with mine is wanted to be close with both the families. to raise the kid in our soil to spend more time in religeous activities. hi moderators, i think i have posted in a wrong area can u move the thread to a appropriate area. thanx in advance
I haven't moved back to India yet, but I want to return because I miss the social life, family , festivals and whenever out of job in US it is a big insecurity due to expenditure in US dollars. Suja.
I havent moved yet as well, but would love to move, the first chance that I get, the primary reason being that I miss my family, relatives and friends terribly, miss the people/crowd, miss the noise and liveliness. 6 months of freezing lonely winter and rainy summers have been making me miss home all the more. The only problem is that dh is employed here and would love to stay here atleast for another few years, so, waiting and praying for the few years to pass quickly :bowdown
I haven't moved yet and would not move for next 2-3 years I guess.... Me and my DH, we both are the only child of our parents so this is the main reason of our r2i in future........I miss my parents, friends a lot......though I talk with my parents daily but it's very hard to stay here...
Interesting question - what motivates us to R2i? We are not planning R2I for the next couple of years. In my case,I don't really miss India. I only miss my family and close friends. If I could have them around me, then probably will never think of R2I. I am also not the kind who has interest in festivals/gatherings much. This lifestyle works just fine for me:thumbsup.
Wait till you have kid or kids, everything will change, how is your preparation for GRE? Have you finalized the college ?
:rotflmay be true...But, I frankly do not have any problems in the lifestyle here and I wonder what kind of changes you are talking about.. GRE preps are going ok..BTW,it is GMAT for me...We should take this discussion back to the Education forum I feel:thumbsup..I"ll see you there!!!
Managing kids without immediate family and kids growing up without any family around is my biggest concern.
