Everyone who visits the thread can then post a sentence that uses the word of the day. You could even post synonyms, antonyms if you like. Here's the first word: "SOLICIT" Meanings: To seek to obtain by persuasion, entreaty, or formal application To petition persistently sentence: It is common for a candidate to solicit people around him for votes when the election draws near.

Eager Eg: She was always solicitous to have guests come over. This one is a bit tricky!! Though we may tend to think that it is similar to 'solicit', the meaning has no obvious similarity .
