Thamizh cinema sentiments!!!!!!!

Our movies are built around a number of sentiments that appeals to us at times -but they go on an overdrive to the extent of craziness and mindlessness....
Let us discuss some of the oft hyped sentiments...

1.Thaali sentiment-Bring this winner in and the B/C center theaters are filled with thaaikulams and cash pours in.
2.Mother sentiment-so many heroes have managed to become Chief Ministers using this one.
3.Opening dialogue sentiment-Aathaa naan paas aiyeten or Vetri ..Vetri... opening dialogue for the movie spells sentimental luck and success.
4.Sidie sentiment-If a movie featuring a particular sidie with the hero is a hit he is invited to tag along with the hero in future movies too-he is the lucky mascot.
These are just a few of the oft repeated sentinents which ensure box office hits!

I left out many sentiments so that we can pool the various sentiment that rules cinema:spin

Heroes or heroines who give a flop are antisentiment material -noproducer touches them with a barge pole!

Some fight their way through and make it to the top after years of struggle like Vikram.

And Ilayaraja singing the title song was supposed to guarantee a hit some years back.

Even Mottai sentiment is a surefire way to success.

Eg. Satyaraj-Nooravadhu naal

Sarathkumar-Suryan

Surya-Ghajini

Rajini-Shivaji

but Kamals mottai in Alavandhar made the producer mottai:biglaugh

But Baba had such a lousy story that even 1000lucky sentiments cant make it run.:rant

Rajini had a little boy acting in his movies to assure success.

Dont know his name -the boy acted in Kuluvalile song and OOOkicku erudhe ...song too.
