Hi, I was curious to know how a thread is marked a "HOT THREAD"? does it depend on the no of replies or something else? P.S: I didnt find any FAQ on this or maybe i missed so was just curious to know......
Hello Sweety17 Where have you come across this hot thread marking in this site even I am eager to know about it Yes we do have popular threads and it depends on the number of replies in that thread.
Hi Aruna, Wen we click on any heading in the forum, the list of threads in that forum is displayed....at the end of the page there are icons showing the status of the thread...... like now wen you this thread in the list , this thread is in purple color...wen does it change to red to be a hot thread?? :spin
these are the icons i was talking about........ New posts Hot thread with new posts No new posts Hot thread with no new posts Thread is closed You have posted in this thread how do the threads become hot threads??
Hi, toady i came across the thread of one of our IL in hobbies section, i don't know how many ILs practice this method. There are multiple threads opened by many IL under same forum which can be avoided if they open one single thread for posting their work and another one just for replies / queries pertaining to their works. I suggest it would be nice if an email is sent to all ILs to follow the same thus reducing the work of moderators and confusion to others. Though it is already mentioned at the time of introduction to a new IL, it is better to remind all ILs on the above.
