I have heard that washing the feet before going to sleep prevents bad dreams. I tried it and was amazed that I had a undisturbed dream less sleep after so many years. But, how are bad dreams/subconsious thinking changed/prevented by just washing the feet?
hi, well, my 5.6 yrs old was having nightmares.i started to let him soak his feet before sleeping.then he would pray & sleep.it helped.his nightmares stopped. i guess as we have nerve endings on our feet warm water helps to relax the sore muscles,increases blood circulation & hence more relaxed sleep. pragati
The scientist in me would not let me pass this up especially as the experiment can be done on oneself. I tried this for one week. I am afraid that there was no difference in my case. However, sleep is highly controlled by the state of the mind. If one really believes in this theory, it might work for that person. As the saying goes, one swallow doth not a summer make. My skepticism could have also prevented any effect being seen in my case. Arunadhri

It does not prevent dreams altogether, but I am not getting any vivid dreams once I started doing this, so as long as I cannot remember the dreams and can sleep through it, I am good , maybe it's the conviction that it will work or just a coincidence,will wait and watch how it goes Pavithra, thanks for trying.
